Sally Riley Canada, 90, formerly of Rougemont, died Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was born in Person County to the late H.L. "Hyde" Riley and Essie Gregory Riley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Willard Canada and her son, Darrell Canada.
Mrs. Canada is survived by her four children: Donald Canada and wife, Jean of Timberlake, Billy Canada and wife, Faye of Rougemont, Connie Sharlow of Durham, and Kathy Cowan of Hurdle Mills; one sister, Cora Evans of Roxboro; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7:00-8:30 PM Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Donald Canada (393 Gates Run, Timberlake, NC 27583).
A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 18, 2016 at Berry's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Craig Willingham.
Pallbearers will be David Sharlow, Joey Sharlow, Matt Sharlow, Mark Sharlow, Donald Canada, Jr., and Gregory Cowan.
Katie Sue Wrenn Regan

Katie Sue Wrenn Regan, 78, died Thursday, April 14, 2016. She was born in Person County to the late Austin Arthur Wrenn, Sr. and Minerva Pulliam Wrenn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Regan; and three brothers, Austin Wrenn, Joshua "Snooks" Wrenn, and Gene Wrenn. Mrs. Regan was a member of Theresa Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Bradsher Regan, of the home; one son, Barry Regan, of Roxboro; three brothers, Bobby Wrenn, of Oxford, Larry Wrenn, and Johnny Wrenn, both of Roxboro; two sisters, Mae W. Walker and Martha Zimmerman, both of Roxboro; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service wil be held 5:00 PM Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Brooks and White Chapel with Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. Visitaiton will be held an hour prior to the service.

Helen Williams Foushee Clayton

Helen Williams Foushee Clayton age 92 died Tuesday evening at Hillcrest Convalescent Center in Durham. She was daughter of the late Robert Haywood Foushee, Sr. and Annie Williams Foushee. Mrs. Clayton was wife of the late Alva Henderson Clayton. One sister, Hilda Foushee Long and three brothers, Robert H. Foushee, Jr., Bernice Foushee, and Cecil Foushee preceded her in death. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Clayton was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening, daily walks as well as reading and working crossword puzzles. She worked through out her life as homemaker, assisting on the farm as well as public work.
Surviving are three children, Carolyn Clayton Shipley (Dr. Michael) of Durham, Kenneth Wayne Clayton (Cindy) of Charlotte, and Janet Lynn Clayton of Durham; three grandchildren, Alison Shipley Osenga (Andrew) of Nashville, TN; Michael Clayton (Clay) Shipley (Sarah) of Timberlake; and Lauren Marie Clayton of Charlotte; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ella) Osenga, Sadie Osenga, Charlotte Osenga, Colton Shipley, and Henderson (Hank) Shipley.
The family will receive friends 10 AM Friday, April 15, 2016 at Brooks & White Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Friday at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Julie Poston officiating. Burial will be in the Person Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Foushee, Ray Foushee, Ronnie Foushee, Terry Hill, Thomas Moore, and Frank Clark.

Michael Kevin Perkins

Michael Kevin Perkins, 42, of 926 Halifax Road died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. He was born in Person County to Michael Holt Perkins and Lola Jean Long Griffin. Mr. Perkins was a true blue die hard Carolina fan. He loved his faithful Boston Terrier companions Mya and Russ. Mr. Perkins attended Providence Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother and father are his step-mother, Debbie Sue Perkins, of the home; two brothers, Alan Dunn, Jr. and Tracy Lee Dunn, both of Roxboro; one sister, Jamie Perkins Nocilla and husband Shawn, of Roxboro; two nephews, two nieces, five step-nephews, two step-nieces, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 8, 2016 at Brooks and White Chapel with Rev. Frankie Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service and other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Casey Dunn, Ryan Dunn, Scotti Arrowood, Brandon Peed, Shane Perkins, and Jason Sampson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Dunn and Jerry Reed.

Linwood Gentry Roberts

Linwood Gentry Roberts, 84, of 1236 Pointer Street died Saturday, March 26, 2016. He was born in Person County to the late James Roberts and Onie Oakley Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Willie Roberts Carver, Louise Huff, and Linda R. Wrenn; and one brother, Pee Wee Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a carpenter, an avid gardener and loved his two cats, Gus and Gracie. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Rachel Ann Snow Roberts, of the home; one son, Wayne Roberts and wife Deborah, of Roxboro; two brothers, Victor Roberts and wife Delora and Eldridge Roberts and wife Lou, both of Roxboro; grandchildren, Derrick Roberts and wife Natalia, of Hurdle Mills and Jonsie Roberts, of Greenville; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Thomas Roberts and Lia Isabel Roberts; and two special nieces, Angie Timberlake and Faye Carver.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Brooks and White Chapel with Rev. Kent Miller, Rev. Ross Thompson, and Rev. Norma Walters Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held following the service and other times at the home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Hicks, Joe Hicks, Andy Riley, Jake Clayton, and Jimmy Roberts.

George Basil Davis

George Basil Davis, 92, of 410 Reuben Allen Road died Sunday, March 20, 2016. He was born in Person County to the late George Washington Davis and Maggie Lou Blalock Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edgar Blalock Davis and one sister, Virginia Susan Davis. Mr. Davis was in the Army during WWII, and he fought in The Battle of the Bulge. He was a retired farmer and service station owner. Mr. Davis was a member of New Brook United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Frankie Huff Davis, of the home and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at New Brook United Methodist Church by Rev. Tyler Daniels. Burial will follow in Burchwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7:00-8:30 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Brooks and White Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Davis, Keith Burnette, Owen Burnette, Alan Williams, Robert Burnette, Colby Clayton, Everett Dardin, and Scott Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Carver, Milton Smith, Roy Huff and Jesse Duncan.
