She was a native of Franklinville, active in the Children's Ministry at her church and was retired from Tie-Rite Neckwear.

He was a native of Asheboro, retired owner of Hulin Upholstery, attended Open Door Baptist Church and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are wife, Dorothy Williams Hulin; son, Gary Warren Hulin of Clackamas, Ore.; brother, Warren Hulin of High Point; sister, Edna Waddell of Burlington; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Asheboro, a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran, retired geography professor from New York University and a former teacher and principal in North Carolina.

NEW HILL - Carl Lester King, 80, of 8028 Country Haven Lane, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Western Wake Medical Center, Cary.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Balfour Baptist Church, Asheboro, with the Rev. Gary Mullis and the Rev. Gerald Hart officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Stokes County, worked at Acme-McCrary Hosiery and later became Clerk of Superior Court in Randolph County. He operated a Nationwide Insurance Agency in Randleman until retirement, was a member of New Hill Baptist Church, New Hill, and was instrumental in starting Forest Park and Cedar Grove Baptist Churches in Randolph County and two Baptist churches in Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Friendly Four Gospel Quartet, which had a radio program on WGWR for more than 30 years, and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, where he received three Battle Stars and a Purple Heart.
Surviving are wife, Frances R. King of the home; daughter, Carol King Thomas of New Hill; sons, William L. "Bill" King, Roger M. King, both of New Hill, the Rev. Carl L. "C.L." King of Wilmington, Gaylon E. King of Raleigh; sisters, Juanita Moody, Geneva Burkhardt, both of Asheboro; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
