Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Claudie Harrison and the Rev. Lee Roy Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Millard L. Rich and retired from Sew Special.
Surviving are son, Archie L. Rich of Asheboro; sisters, Bobbie Hill of Lexington, Mabel Hill of Leland; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Lancaster County, S.C., a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, retired from Montgomery Memorial Hospital where she was Director of Nursing and was a member of Circle #2 at her church.

A requiem mass was 2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. George's Anglican Church, Raleigh, with Father John Lancaster officiating. An additional memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Holly Spring Friends Meeting in Ramseur.
She was a 1959 graduate of Coleridge High School, a 1962 graduate of High Point Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and a retired registered nurse.
Surviving are husband, Frank Earle Briden; daughters, Marcia Kim B. Marshburn of Raleigh, Allison Kay Briden of Dallas, Texas; mother, Ardieth Cox Walker of Asheboro; sister, Barbara Ann Luther of Asheboro; brothers, Odell Walker of Ramseur, Clinton Walker of Asheboro.
