A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Loves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Roy Helms officiating.
She was a native of Chatham County, the widow of Michael Kotoris, a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Golden Ages Sunday School class and was retired from Collins & Aikman.
Surviving are sons, Michael W. Kotoris, Stephen M. Kotoris, both of Siler City; brother, Roland Stevens of Siler City; sisters, Doris S. Brower, Jean S. Beal, both of Siler City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home of Michael W. Kotoris, 2683 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City.

GREENSBORO - Virginia Dezern Moser, 79, of Wesley Long Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at the center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry, Sedgefield Chapel, Greensboro. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
She was retired from AT&T in 1976 and was a member of the AT&T Young at Heart Club.
Surviving are son, William R. "Bill" Moser Jr.; brothers, Ray Dezern, Calvin Dezern, both of Asheboro, Jerry Dezern of Hampton, Va.; two granddaughters; one great-grandson.

THOMASVILLE - Helen Overcash Russell, 79, of Piedmont Retirement Center, formerly of 133 Pleasant Grove Church Road, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at the nursing center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rich Fork Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. J. Byron Barker officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point.
She was a native of Mooresville, the widow of William Earl Russell, with whom she was co-owner and operator of Big R Food Stores and a retired employee with Efird's Department Store in Thomasville. She was a member of the Ladies Bible Class at Rich Fork Baptist Church and a former member of Hasty Baptist Church, where she served as a former Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are daughter, Patty Speight of Trinity; sons, Michael Russell, J. Robin Russell, both of Thomasville; sister, Nita Scaglione of Decatur, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at J.C. Green & Son Funeral Home, Thomasville, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, other times at their respective homes.

DENTON - Claude Burton Schoonover Jr., 68, of 1790 Lick Creek Church Road, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Clear Springs United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sandy Young and Hervey Yates officiating.
He was a native of York, Ind., a farmer, worked in trucking, was of the Methodist faith and a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a native of Jackson, Ga., a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of Welford Baptist Church, Inman, S.C., and a retired service station operator.
Surviving are daughter, Jean Powers of Bennett; sister, Inez Crowder of Laurens, S.C.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Chatham County, served in the Korean conflict and was a graduate of Chatham County Training School.
