She was a native of Davidson County and the widow of Charlie L. Vickory with whom she was owner/operator of Level Cross Service Station, Level Cross Cafe and Vickory Sand and Gravel Company.
Surviving are daughter, Doris V. Smith of Randleman; sister, Oleta Slate of Thomasville; brother, Arthur Kennedy of Thomasville; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Mercer County, W. Va., and a homemaker.

He was a native of Shelby, Ohio, the widower of Frances Phillips Richmond, retired from the insurance business, attended Shelby High School, graduated from Greenbrier Military Academy in Lewisburg, W.Va., attended the University of Cincinnati and was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are sister, Norma E. Richmond of Shelby, Ohio; stepson, James H. Payne of Siler City.

She was a native of Ironaton, Ala., a retired Montgomery County Schools teacher, was a graduate of Peabody Academy and of Winston-Salem State University, with a BA in music education and received a Masters in music from Columbia University. She received a counseling degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was a minister of music, member of the missionary circle, a deaconess and secretary of the church school at her church and was a member of the Winston-Salem State Alumni Chapter and North Carolina Retired School Personnel.
Surviving are husband, Samuel T. Hawkins of the home; brother, Burgoyne F. Barnhill Sr. of Walterboro, S.C.; sister, Marietta Rush of Southern Pines.
