Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. B. Joe Parker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of High Point, the widow of Charles Leach McKenzie, a 1938 graduate of High Point High School, and a former member of the "Singing Ambassadors" and the High Point Twirlers. She was employed as a hostess with Holiday Tours, and was a former member of Midway Wesleyan Church in Randleman.
Surviving are husband, Jack Holt Hylton of the home; daughters, Debbie M. Clary of Greensboro, Sharon M. Taylor of Kernersville; three grandchildren.
The family will be at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, Thomasville, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home.

LEXINGTON - Grace Varner Grubb, 99, of Cid, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at her home.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Walters Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Jeremy Simpson and the Rev. Warren Pierce officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Davidson County and the widow of James "Bud" Grubb.
Surviving are daughters, Maie Griffin of Cid, Kathleen Gallimore of Denton, Shirley Alarcon of the home; sons, Raymond Grubb of Cid, Carlie Grubb of Asheville, Bobby Lee Grubb of Trinity; sister, Lillie Cooper of Thomasville; brothers, Luther and Homer Varner, both of Asheboro; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.

TROY - Jerry Lee Callicutt, 54, of 165 Aunt Queen Road, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Duke Medical Center, Durham.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Charles Apple, the Rev. Bobby Freeman and the Rev. Dexter Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Montgomery County and a crew supervisor for the U.S. Forest Service.

MT. GILEAD - Lonnie Wesley Dunn, 82, formerly of Mt. Gilead, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at Alamance Skilled Nursing Center, Burlington.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Turnmire officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Mt. Gilead, a retired employee of the Bob Swan Company and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are wife, Polly Gardner Dunn of Troy; son, Dr. Branson Dunn of Pittsburgh, Pa.; daughter, Ginny Ward of Burlington; brother, Thomas Dunn of Mt. Gilead; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

She was a native of Moore County, the widow of a J.A. Lang, a retired employee of the Carthage Post Office and a member of First Baptist Church of Carthage.

She was a native of Forsyth County, employed by Randolph Hospital and the widow of Eddie Gray Needham.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Shirley Brothers Funeral Home Irving Hill Chapel. A local memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was a native of Randleman, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, a lifetime member, past commander and past vice commander of VFW #2999 and a retired pipe fitter.
Surviving are son, Bruce D. Farlow Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind.; brothers, Fred Farlow of Asheboro and Joe Farlow of Randleman; sisters, Beatrice Burns and Theresa Farlow, both of Asheboro; one grandson.

He was a native of Forsyth County, an Army veteran of World War II and a retired carpenter.

She was a native of High Point, a graduate of William Penn High School and of Shaw University, and taught elementary school for 37 years, including a time in Randleman. She was a member of the Trustee Board, Adult Sunday School class, Senior Choir and Religion and Arts Club at her church; was a member and past president of Church Women United, the Christian Women Fellowship, board member, Washington Drive Resource and Enrichment Center, board member, Christians Working Together, former board member, United Services for Older Adults and the NAACP; and volunteered at the Roy B. Culler Senior Center and the St. Stephen Adult Day Care Center.
Surviving are brother, the Rev. Robert White of High Point; sister, Evelyn White Dixon of High Point; foster mother, Johnnie Bell Davis of the home.

He was a native of Star, a member of First E&R United Church of Christ, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Acme-McCrary Hosiery Corp. where he played for the McCrary Eagle Baseball Team.
