She was a native of Alamance County, the widow of Earl W. Shatterly and a member of the Mary Milloway Circle and the Faulkner Fellowship at her church.

He was a native of Chatham County, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, was twice the recipient of the Purple Heart, and was a carpenter.

He was a native of Derby and was honored by the N.C. State Fair and Department of Agriculture for his McQueen Century Old Farm and "100 years of continuous agricultural heritage."

He was a graduate of E.C.C., a charter member of E.C.U.'s sports hall of fame, a former teacher and coach at East Bladen High School and later owned Lacy West-Thomas Insurance Agency in Elizabethtown.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Bruce Davidson Farlow Sr., 74, of 2022 N. Drexel Ave., died Friday, May 21, 1999, at Community Hospital East, Indianapolis, Ind.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Paul Griffin officiating.
He was a native of Randleman, a retired pipe fitter, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and a lifetime member of VFW #2999 where he was a past Commander and past vice Commander.
Surviving are son, Bruce D. Farlow Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind.; brothers, Fred Farlow of Asheboro, Joe Farlow of Randleman; sisters, Beatrice Burns and Theresa Farlow, both of Asheboro; one grandson.
The family will be at the funeral home 10-11 a.m. Friday.

He was a native of Randolph County, a member of First Baptist Church in Seagrove and also attended First Assembly. He attended Randolph Community College, was employed with Greenfield Industries and was a volunteer with school athletics.

He was a native of Randolph County and the widower of Margie King Farlow. He was owner/operator of Joe Farlow & Son Builders, past president of the Asheboro/Randolph Home Builders Association and life director for the National Home Builders Association. He was a former board member of Carolina Farmers Mutual Association, past precinct chairman of the Randolph County Democratic Party and a past member of the Asheboro Civitan Club.
Surviving are wife, Diane Hutchens Farlow; daughters, Jeanette F. McNeill and Audrey F. Enochs, both of Asheboro; son, Royce M. Farlow of Asheboro; stepdaughter, Felecia C. She was a native of Randolph County, retired from Randolph Mills and was a member of West Asheboro Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Jettie McMasters of Asheboro and Pattie Smith of Randleman; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired truck driver at Carolina Freight Lines and a member of the choir and Caring Team at his church.

He was a native of Sanford, a 1953 graduate of Howard University Medical School and was a practicing physician until his retirement.
