ALBEMARLE - Lula Deese Lowder, 93, formerly of 24733 St. Martin Road, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center, Albemarle.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stanly Funeral Home, Albemarle, with Elder Rom Kerley and the Rev. Farrell Shimpock officiating. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
She was a native of Stanly County, the widow of Adam Lowder, a homemaker and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Surviving are son, Harold Lowder of Albemarle; daughter, Ruby L. Simpson of Albemarle; brother, Jerry Lee Deese of Albemarle; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

BANGOR, MAINE - Robert Daniel Larlee, 70, died Monday, April 19, 1999, at the Veteran's Home in Bangor, Maine.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Brown's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Robbins, with the Rev. Brady Stephens officiating.
He was a native of Milliknockett, Maine, a U.S. Army veteran and was a retired accountant.

He was a native of Montgomery County, the retired owner and operator of The Butcher Shop in Asheboro and a member of First United Methodist Church and of Balfour Masonic Lodge #188.

DENTON - E. Bradley Loflin, 91, of 25210 N.C. 8, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Randolph Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an accident at his home.

He was a native of Davidson County, the widower of Virginia Fine Loflin, a farmer, a member of First Baptist Church of New London, a former Sunday School director of Taylors Grove Baptist Church and was one of the founders of Denton Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are sons, Bill Loflin of Asheboro, Joe Loflin of Denton, Robert Loflin of New London, and Clarence Loflin of Nokomis, Fla.; daughters, Dorothy Hill and Carlene Varner, both of Denton, Marlene Efird of Rockwell, and Evangeline Crisco of Stanfield; sister, Elizabeth Nifong of Thomasville; 27 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Moore County, a deacon at his church, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Robbins V.F.W. Post #9245, had worked in textiles and was a poultry farmer.
