She was a native of Randolph County, a member of First United Methodist Church of Randleman and a homemaker.

He was a native of Roland, S.C., and a retired farmer.

SILER CITY - Virginia Brown "Jennie" Young, 70, of 1345 Sassafrass Circle, Mount Pleasant, S.C., died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Bennett, with the Rev. Kenneth Huggins and the Rev. Kenneth E. Beane officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She attended Pleasant Grove Christian Church and Sunday School, was a graduate of Bennett High School, attended the Episcopal Church in Woodlands, Texas, and was an interior decorator.
Surviving are sisters, Rachel B. Beane and Ruth B. Simmons, both of Siler City; brother, J.B. Brown of Asheboro; niece and nephew, Cynthia and Laymon Farmer of the home.
The family will be at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, other times at the home of Rachel B. Beane, 510 Greenhill Drive, Siler City.

She was a native of Montgomery County and retired from Springs Industries.

He was a native of Chatham County, a U.S. Army veteran and a retired central office supervisor with Central Telephone Co. in Asheboro. He was a member of Oak Island Lodge #758 A.F. & A.M., Sudan Shrine Temple, was Past Commander of Oak Island V.F.W. Post, a member of the American Legion, Oak Island Elks Lodge and Oak Island Fishing Club.
Surviving are wife, Imogene "Jean" Marley of the home; stepdaughter, Lou Jean Cross of Lenoir; brother, Eugene Marley of Siler City; two grandchildren.

He was a native of Alexander County, was educated in Alexander County Schools, a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army after 21 years and was a member of the Army Baseball Team. He was formerly employed by City Bus Co. of Fayetteville, was employed with the N.C. Highway Department for 15 years, and was a member of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class at his church.
Surviving are wife, Betty Deal Martin; sons, Gary Glenn Martin of Woodbridge, Va., Randy Blake Deal of Taylorsville; daughters, Sherry Jones of Franklinville, Cathy Keever of Taylorsville, Joy Millsaps of Hiddenite; sister, Marie Dagenhart of Statesville; nine grandchildren.
