Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Cathedral Church of God, Randleman, with the Rev. Phillip King, the Rev. Sandy Barbrey and Dr. Mike L. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Robeson County, retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill, and a member of Randleman Church of God where she was the founder and director of the children's bus ministry.
Surviving are sons, Danny Barnes of Greensboro, Ronnie Barnes and Randy Barnes, both of Asheboro, Robin Barnes of the home; daughters, Donna Ingold of Franklinville, Dianna Barnes of Randleman, Tammy B. Dyer of Level Cross; brother, Major Sibbett of Randleman; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

LIBERTY - Hazel Starling Cox, 75, of 237 S. Valley St., died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty, with the Rev. Wayne Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Gilmore Memorial Park.
She was a native of Johnson County, a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Surviving are husband, Hovie Cox of the home; daughters, Louise George and Wanda Shelar, both of Liberty; son, Robert "Bob" Cox of Liberty; sisters, Beatrice Brooks of Hillsborough, Audrey Green of Smithfield, Vickie Cook and Fran Roan, both of Water Valley, Miss., Edith Currie of Clinton, Edna Barber of Danville, Va.; brothers, Larry Starling of Burlington, Garland Starling of Smithfield, Woodrow Starling of Waynesboro, Tenn.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of James Robert McDowell.

He was a native of Chatham County, a retired truck driver with Billings Trucking Co., Lexington, and of the Baptist faith.

Danny Ray Inlow, 48, of 847 Laurel Drive, Asheboro, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at his home.

He was a native of Bainbridge, Ga., retired from the U.S. Army, and was the first coach of the first Italian Football Team.

RAMSEUR - Margaret Curtis Lane, 93, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Center.

She was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Women's College, a member of the Round Dozen Book Club, a member and Worthy Matron of the Weatherly Chapter #271 of Eastern Star and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She taught for over 40 years in the Randolph County and Asheboro City School Systems.
Surviving is a sister, Eugenia Lane Johnson of Pickens, S.C.

He was a native of Moore County, a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he was chairman of the Deacon Board, a former Sunday School teacher and former choir director, clerk of the Sandhills Baptist Association for 40 years, and a retired tax supervisor from the Moore County Tax Department.
Surviving are wife, Sylvia Horner Purvis; daughters, Karen P. Chalflinch and Geraldine P. Boyd, both of Robbins, and Sharon P. Oakes of Wilmington; brother, Ray Purvis of Bear Creek; sisters, Mary Ruth Williams of Robbins, Juanita P. Kidd of Asheboro and Mamie P. Murray of Bennett; four grandchildren.

She was a native of Randolph County, a 50-year member of the Eastern Star where she was a past Worthy Matron, an educator for 53 years who had taught in Randolph County and had been a principal at Tabernacle School, and had also taught in the Davidson County, Washington, D.C., and Maryland systems and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Surviving is sister, Moleta Morgan of Asheboro.
