She was a native of Stokes County and the widow of Brady Pressley.

She was a native of Hoke County, a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, retired from General Electric and a former volunteer at Randolph Hospital.

He was a native of Randolph County, the Sunday School superintendent for several years at his church, a member of the United Methodist Men and had served on the Administrative Board, church choir and Board of Trustees.
