Claude Edgar York, 80, of 334 Ridgecrest Road, Asheboro, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Central United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Chris Thore officiating.
He was a native of Randleman, a World War II U.S. Naval Air Force veteran, retired from Union Carbide Plant #2 and was a charter member of the Asheboro Jaycees.
Surviving are wife, Aleine Wade York; daughters, Sabra Y. Barfield of Oak Island, Portia Y. Hicks of Randleman; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will be at the church following the memorial service.

He was a native of Randolph County.

SEAGROVE - Bobby Franklin Williamson, 63, of 4727 Busbee Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Needham's Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. James E. Cockram and the Rev. Arnold Comer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Sears Roebuck Co. after 30 years in Greensboro and Asheboro.
Surviving are wife, Jane Dunlap Williamson of the home; daughter, Marsha W. Bass of Seagrove; son, Ricky Dunlap of Seagrove; mother, Mittie Comer Williamson of Seagrove; sisters, Dianna W. Dickson of Ulah, Geneva W. Garner of Robbins; brother, Hal Williamson of Seagrove; three grandchildren.

She was a native of Victoria, Va. and a retired employee of Gilead Mfg. Corp.

She was the widow of Everett Wilson.
