Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Kenneth Harris officiating. Burial will be the church cemetery.
She was a native of Cleveland, Tenn., a homemaker and a member of the Senior Ladies' Joyful Sunday School class.
Surviving are daughter, Tanya Ellington of Chapel Hill; two grandchildren.

William Howard Hughes, 78, of Friends Home, Greensboro, died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, at the home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Asheboro Friends Meeting, where he was a member, with the Rev. Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Esther Beane Hughes, a World War II U.S. Army-Air Force veteran, was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years and was former Superintendent of Mails in the Asheboro office.
Surviving are wife, Thelma McGill Hughes; daughters, Billie Parks of Mebane, Jane Wright of Trinity, Sue Memory of Greensboro; stepson, David Carl Purcelle of Hickory; stepdaughter, Peggy Trogdon of Randleman; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren.

RANDLEMAN - Clyde Cebert Allred, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Doris Gray Allred, formerly employed with North State Chevrolet in Greensboro, retired from the Randleman Store and was a member of Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are brother, William "Bill" Allred of High Point; sisters, Nellie Noel of Sophia, Vivian Nelson of Salisbury.

She was a native of Asheboro, the widow of Paul William Callaham, a member of First United Methodist Church and was the first president of the High Point Exchangette Club.

She was a native of Jackson, Miss., and a homemaker.

He was a retired self-employed paint contractor, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of the local Disabled American Veterans and past deacon and a member of the Edward's Bible Class at his church.

TAYLORSVILLE - Hazel Viola Bowman Dagenhart, 87, of Wayside Church Road, died Sunday, March 1, 1998, at Alexander Community Hospital.
Funeral service was 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, where she was a member, with Dr. Charles Dickson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Alexander County, graduated from Bethlehem School, earned a teaching certificate from Lenoir-Rhyne College, was a teacher at Bethlehem School and in Catawba County Schools, and was the widow of Ernest Shaver Dagenhart.
Surviving are son, Harold Dagenhart of Taylorsville; daughters, Lois Hudson of Hildebran and Alice Dawson of Asheboro; brothers, Claude Bowman of Hickory, Ernest Bowman of Vale and Lynn Bowman and Bruce Bowman, both of Taylorsville; sisters, Ruth Clontz of Bethlehem and Ethel Shook of Taylorsville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
