Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Prospect Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lee Fisher and the Rev. Tony Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy.
He was a native of Montgomery County, the widower of Kathryn P. Loftin and was a retired truck driver.
Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth L. Rummage of Albemarle, Tammy Jean L. Howell of Troy; sons, William C. Loftin III of Troy, Richard Lee Loftin of Albemarle; brothers, Thomas Loftin and Danny Loftin, both of Troy; sisters, Frances Mauldin of Albemarle, Ruby Hunsucker of Troy, Catherine Zachary of Wadeville, Sylvia Freeman of Rockwell; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four adopted grandchildren.

She was a native of Montgomery County and retired from Russell Hosiery Mill.

She was a native of Montgomery County and retired from Clayson Knitting Company.

A Rosary prayer service will be 6 p.m. Sunday at Skinner Funeral Home, Dunn. A mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove, with Father Ned Shlesinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Johnston County and a retired farmer.
Surviving are wife, Rosalie Tart Smith; daughters, Judy Mobley of Baton Rouge, La., Cecelia Warren of Asheboro; sons, Victor Lee Smith, Anthony Smith and Cody Smith, all of Newton Grove; sister, Jane Norris of Dunn; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

RANDLEMAN - Addison O. "Noochie" White, 77, of 116 Sunrise Circle, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at his home.

He was a native of Guilford County, a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran, retired from Allen Precision Industries Inc. in Asheboro and was owner and operator of White Machine Company from 1970-1988.
Surviving are daughter, Gayle W. Williams of Randleman; sister, Pearl W. Edwards of Burlington; one granddaughter.

She was a native of Beaufort County, the widow of Joseph Aaron Marshburn, a graduate of Washington High School and was a retired bookkeeper for Paul Auto Supply. She was a member of First Christian Church, Washington, and a member of the Beaufort County Humane Society and the Washington Park Garden Club.
Surviving are daughter, Ann M. Respess of Wilmington; two granddaughters.

He was a native of Wilkes County, the widower of Clara Belle Heatherly Joines, retired from the City of High Point as superintendent of Westside Treatment Plant and was a member of Green Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Shade Rufus "Buddy" Joines III of Asheboro; brother, Paul Houston Joines Sr. of High Point; two grandsons.

Frances Ferguson Cahoon Stokes, 87, of Richmond, Va., died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, in Asheboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at River Road United Methodist Church, Richmond, Va. Burial will be 2 p.m. in Kenbridge Heights Cemetery, Kenbridge, Va.
She was a native of Kenbridge, Va., the widow of both Hollis L. Cahoon and John P. Stokes, she attended school in Kenbridge, Va., and attended the College of William and Mary. She was a teacher at Ferrum Training School, Malta, Ohio, and in Kenova, W.Va. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Asheboro, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Dogwood Garden Club, Triad St. Andrews Society, Clan Ferguson Society, Asheboro Woman's Club and was a Hospice volunteer.
Surviving are sons, John L. Cahoon of Phoenix, Md., Hollis B. Cahoon of Greensboro, Lawrence G. Cahoon of Asheboro; sister, Alice F. Dickerson of Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Charleston, S.C., a graduate of Bishop England High School and a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University. He was retired from Union Carbide Eveready Batteries division as an international auditor and was a past president of the Asheboro-Randolph Board of Realtors where he received a "Realtor of the Year" award. He was a member of the Asheboro Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Knights of Columbus, past president of the Asheboro Jaycees and a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
Surviving are brother, Thomas Randolph Cotten Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Mary Ann C. Nelson of Mt. Pleasant, Martha C. Johnson of Charleston, S.C.
