RAMSEUR - Jettie Burgess Brady, 87, of North Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Ramseur, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at St. Mary Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur, with the Rev. Scott Owen officiating.

She was a native of Randolph County, had been employed with Stanley Products and was a former member of Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving are sons, Ed Brady of West Palm Beach, Fla., Billy Brady of Ramseur; daughter, Golda Dale Gaskill of Selma; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the grave site immediately following the service.

Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, is in charge of the arrangements.

TROY - Leah Moore Dunn, 78, of Montgomery Memorial Healthcare Skilled Nursing Facility, Troy, formerly of Candor, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Healthcare, Troy.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church, Biscoe, where she was a member, with the Rev. Martin Davis and the Rev. Jeanette Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Candor City Cemetery.

She was a native of Montgomery County and the widow of Charles Dunn.

Surviving are daughters, Jeana D. Hannah of Troy, Jeanette D. Lamonds of Biscoe; brothers, Garrett Moore of Asheboro, William "Bill" Moore of Randleman, James S. "Jim" Moore of Widefield, Colo.; sisters, Rachel Epps of Mt. Gilead, Patricia "Pat" Moore of Troy; one grandson; three great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of Jeanette D. Lamonds, 3022 Candor-Troy Road, Biscoe.

ROBBINS - Erin Lee York, 16, of 155 Coolidge Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 3,1999.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Earl Dulaney and the Rev. Thomas Holtsclaw officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Moore County, a member of Methodist Youth Fellowship at her church, a junior at North Moore High School, where she was a member of the Beta and Key clubs, her class secretary for three years, and a member of the volley ball team, soft ball team and the Annual Staff.

Surviving are parents, Dwight and Terri Garner York of Robbins; brother, Josh York of Robbins; grandparents, Elizabeth W. Garner of Robbins, Jesse York and Carol and Bill Richardson, all of Carthage.

The family will be at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins 6-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of Elizabeth Garner, 225 Va. Ave., Robbins.

Terriel E. Wessinger Sr.
NEWBERRY, S.C. - Terriel E. Wessinger Sr., 92, of 73 Hartford Height, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at National Health Care in Clinton, S.C.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry, S.C., with the Rev. Tony Everett officiating. Burial will be in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

He was a native of Lexington County, S.C., a member of St. Peter (Pineywood) Lutheran Church and a retired employee of Spartan Grain Feed for many years.

Surviving are wife, Sara Hawkins Wessinger of the home; daughter, Peggy W. Neeland of Newberry, S.C.; son, T.E. "Gene" Wessinger Jr. of Asheboro; sisters, Pearl Robertson of Newberry, Irene Coward of Gallatin, Tenn.; brothers, Leroy Wessinger of Little Mountain, S.C., Carol Wessinger of Newberry; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

Samuel Lorenz Bossong, 34, of 913 Mountain Valley Drive, Asheboro, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Boyd Stokes and the Rev. Bret Cogan officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

He was a native of Asheboro and a graduate of Asheboro High School and Elon College, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was the vice president of Operations for Bossong Hosiery for 11 years, president of the Piedmont Chapter of the Hosiery Association, a board member of the Randolph-Asheboro YMCA where he was a soccer coach, former board member of the United Way of Randolph County and was a member of the Randolph Rotary Club.

Surviving are wife, Cheryl Canoy Bossong; daughters, Emma Bossong, Rachel Bossong and Katharine Bossong, all of the home; parents, Charles and Susan Bossong of Asheboro; brother, Brooks Freeman Bossong of Asheboro; sister, Elizabeth B. Russell of Asheboro; grandfather, Charles G. Bossong of Asheboro.

Ruby Ella Carswell Parrott, 81, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Almond, Raymer & McConnell Funeral Home, Huntersville, with the Rev. Max Helton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery West.

She was a native of Boiling Springs, S.C., the widow of James Kenneth Parrott, attended school in Gastonia, was a seamstress and long-time employee of Montaldo's of Charlotte and did alterations for Dandy Cleaners, Charlotte.

Surviving are daughters, Jackie P. Mann of Randleman, Jody P. Bailey of Pageland, S.C.; son, Buddy Parrott of Cornelius; brother, Jack Carswell of Gastonia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Monday.

Nellie C. Weaver
Nellie Cline Weaver, formerly of Asheboro, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in Gaffney, S.C.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Central United Methodist Church, Asheboro, where she was a member, with the Rev. Chris Thore, the Rev. Byron Alexander and the Rev. Ervin Price officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

She was a native of Forsyth County, the widow of Ira J. Weaver, a nursery Sunday School teacher and superintendent for 48 years and an honorary member of the Administrative Board at her church. She was also assistant treasurer and president of W.S.C.S., chairman of Status of Women W.S.C.S., Life member of Western North Carolina Conference and a Girl Scout leader.

Surviving is brother, Dallas David Cline of Gaffney, S.C.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Shady Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Carl Ziegler, the Rev. William Pickard and the Rev. Bill Rice officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County and retired from Hancock Ham.

Surviving are wife, Emma Vickory Caviness; sons, Gary W. Caviness of Asheboro, Paul R. Caviness of Liberty; daughters, Sylvia Ann Langley and Faye D. Smith, both of Staley; brothers, Verlie Caviness of Ramseur, Junior Cletus Caviness and Everett Garland Caviness, both of Liberty, James Kinney Caviness of Julian; sisters, Lou Gertie Barbre and Carol Brewer, both of Liberty, Elsie Mae Kimes of Burlington, Vivian Brewer of Bear Creek; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

GREENSBORO - Clarence H. Bulla, 79, of 4610 Beth Road, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Friends Meeting, where he was a member. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

He was a native of Guilford County, a member of the Men's Meeting, Tape Ministry, Presley Foushee Sunday School Class and an usher at his church. He was retired from the City Water Department and formerly employed with Curtis Meat Packing Co.

Surviving are daughter, Jackie Bullins; brothers, Joe Bulla of Greenville, S.C., Ben Bulla of Randleman, Bill Bulla of Pennsacola, Fla.; sisters, Xurada Miller, Judy Forbis, Flora Belle Mesimore and Mary Key, all of Greensboro, Dorothy Moorefield of Wilmington, Mozelle Lewis of Loganville, Ga.; three grandchildren.

SILER CITY - Charles Wesley Fletcher, 34, of 645 Piney Grove Church Road, Siler City, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at his home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Turley's Funeral Home, New Cumberland, W.Va., with the Rev. Billy Ray Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Shady Lawn Cemetery, Newell, W.Va.

He was a native of Steubenville, Ohio, worked at RamTex, Ramseur, and Burger King, Siler City, was a member of Community Baptist Church and a Cub Scout leader with Pack #924.

Surviving are wife, Deanna Cottrill Fletcher of New Cumberland, W.Va.; sons, David Charles Fletcher and Caleb Daniel Fletcher, both of New Cumberland, W.Va.; father, Franklin D. Fletcher of Bobtown, Pa.; mother, Shirley Reckner Fletcher of Chester, W.Va.; brothers, Mark Fletcher of Siler City, Allan Fletcher of Hilliard, Ohio; sisters, Pam F. Kirkpatrick of Chester, W.Va., Cyndl F. Hickman of Siler City, Trinnie Fletcher of Asheboro.

ANDERSON, S.C. - Henry Eldo Rumsey, 80, of 407 Revie Drive, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at Hospice House.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Anderson, S.C., with the Rev. Jack Rinks and the Rev. Craig Neill officiating. Burial will be in Whitefield Baptist Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Hartwell, Ga., a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, was retired from maintenance in School District 5 and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are wife, Sara S. Rumsey of the home; daughters, Nancy Duvall of Anderson, S.C., Jane Allen of Asheboro; brothers, Joe Thomas Rumsey, Melvin Rumsey, both of Anderson, S.C.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

RAMSEUR - Alex Jerome Trogdon Jr., infant son of Alex Jerome Trogdon Sr. and Crystal Headen, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at Brenner Children's Hospital, Winston-Salem.

GREENSBORO - Edith Amelia Player Brown, 92, of 668 Chestnut St., died Friday, Nov. 3, 1999, at her home.

Compline service will be 8:30-9 p.m. Wednesday at the home. Memorial service will be Nov. 15 in Akron, Ohio.

She was a native of Jackson, Miss., the widow of Raymond R. Brown and a member of Centenary Methodist Church in Akron, Ohio, where she was church organist. She attended Oberlin College, was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, a piano teacher and an artist who has been featured in exhibits and has paintings in Bennett College. She was active with the YWCA, the Urban League and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Surviving are daughters, Barbara B. Tazewell of Asheboro, Linda B. Brown of Greensboro; son, Raymond Player Brown of Memphis, Tenn.; sister, Willa B. Player of Greensboro; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the home 7:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

She was a native of Wilkes County and a homemaker.

Surviving are daughter, Faye G. Kecatos of Robbins; son, Colon "Bill" Garner of the home; sister, Leona C. Coble of Greensboro; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Phillip Andrew Lewis, 15, of 7189 Davis Country Road, Randleman, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at his home.

He was one of Jim's Kids.
