Myrle Wynell Lax Walker, 73, of 2911 Stutts Road, Asheboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Back Creek Friends Meeting, where she was a member, with the Rev. Ray Lambe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Davidson County, the widow of Tommy Walker and was retired from the personnel department of Kayser-Roth Hosiery.
Surviving are sons, Doug R. Walker of Asheboro, George "Randy" Walker of Archdale; sisters, Verlie Lax of Asheboro, Ava Morgan of Lexington; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Harry D. Cox
FRANKLINVILLE - Harry Donald Cox, 63, of 641 Julian Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Franklinville Full Gospel Church of God, where he was a member, with the Rev. Terry Batchelor officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Richlands, Va., and retired from Sapona Manufacturing after 21 years as assistant supervisor.
Surviving are wife, Daisy Hale Cox of the home; son, Ricky D. Cox of Asheboro; daughters, Donna Aguilera of High Point, Patricia Trogdon of Asheboro; brother, Roger Cox of Raven, Va., mother, Eula Cox of Richlands, Va.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

William C. Riddle
CARTHAGE - William "Bill" Caddell Riddle, 91, of 1103 Crabtree Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Ed Johnson and the Rev. Tom Herndon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Moore County, a retired farmer and a member of the Men's Sunday School Class at his church.
Surviving are wife, Dora Cheek Riddle; daughter, Maxine R. Sanders of Carthage; sons, Wayne Riddle, Cecil Riddle and Van Riddle, all of Carthage; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

EAGLE SPRINGS - Macie Lewis Williams, 91, of 407 Alex Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Brown's Chapel Christian Church, with the Rev. Don Lewallen and the Rev. Ernest Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Moore County, the widow of Ollie L. Williams and a homemaker.
Surviving are daughter, Vera W. Hulin of High Point; sister, Blennie L. Williams of Eagle Springs; two grandsons.

MATTHEWS - Mary Dunn Zerbach, 88, of 701 Plantation Estates, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Plantation Estates Retirement Community.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hamer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Gilead, with the Rev. Alex Willoughby, the Rev. Neil Bowman and the Rev. John Butler officiating. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Plantation Estates Retirement Community Auditorium in Matthews.
She was a native of Mt. Gilead and a homemaker.
Surviving are sons, Earl D. Zerbach of Charlotte, Joe Zerbach of Panama City Beach, Fla.; brother, Harold Dunn of Mt. Gilead; sisters, Ina Thompson of Troy, Gladys Bolick of Hickory; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren.

Ernestine "Tina" Presnell Jones, 74, of 316 Ridgecrest Road, Asheboro, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. E. Boyd Stokes and the Rev. Bret Cogan officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
She was a native of Randleman, the widow of William G. Presnell, a graduate of Randleman High School and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor's degree and master's degrees in business education and guidance and counseling. She retired after 27 years with the Asheboro City Schools as a guidance counselor at Asheboro High School, had served on the board of trustees and administrative board at her church and was a member of the Col. Andrew Balfour Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are husband, J. Livingston Jones of the home; son, Edwin S. Presnell of Augusta, Ga.; daughters, Ellen P. Smoak of Greensboro, Barbara P. Keesler of Lexington; stepdaughters, Carolyn Sloan and Fay Eifler; stepsons, Ray Jones, Don Jones, Clark Jones; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Ferree of Randleman; five grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren.
