SALISBURY - Mathey Alfred Davis, 64, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, Winston-Salem.
Graveside service was 2 p.m. Wednesday at Salisbury National Cemetery, with the Rev. Malcolm Bullock officiating. Rites were conducted by the Rowan County Veterans Council.
He was a native of Los Angeles, Calif., the widower of Lynne Chambers Davis, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Post and VFW Post 3006. He attended school in Wadesboro and East Carolina University.
Surviving are daughters, Chere Davis of Salisbury, Kelly Davis of Raleigh, Kathleen Osborne of Mocksville; brother, Jad A. Davis of Belmont; sister, Dorothy D. Osborne of Asheboro; one granddaughter.
The family will be at the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Post 3-5 p.m. Wednesday following the service, other times at the home.

RAMSEUR - Raeford Colvin Glasgow, 66, of 1575 Patterson Grove Road, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at Wesley Long Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, with the Rev. Dan Neely and the Rev. Leonard Conner officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, owner and operator of Glasgow Enterprises, formerly employed with Randolph Mills, was a U.S. Army veteran and he attended Patterson Grove Christian Church.
Surviving are wife, Frances Kimrey Glasgow of the home; sons, Charles "Eddie" Glasgow of Franklinville, James "Bo" Glasgow of Ramseur; daughter, Catherine "Cathy" Pasour of Franklinville; brothers, Grady Glasgow, Troy Luck and Ernest "Buddy" Luck, all of Asheboro, Junior Luck of Salisbury; two grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

MT. GILEAD - James Oliver Crump, 80, of 2395 N.C. 731 West, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at FirstHealth Montgomery Hospital, Troy.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sharon Cemetery, with the Rev. Chris Cadenhead officiating.
He was a native of Richmond County, a retired saw mill employee and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are sons, John Burleson and Ronnie Crump, both of Mt. Gilead; daughter, Janie C. Gaddy of Mt. Gilead; brother, Henry Crump of Cowpens, S.C.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at McKeithan Funeral Home, Mt. Gilead, 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Virginia H. Monroe
EAGLE SPRINGS - Virginia Harrison Monroe, 81, of Pinehurst Nursing Center, formerly of Eagle Springs, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at the center.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bensalem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Tom Williams officiating.
She was a native of Moore County, a 1938 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she had taught school in Randolph County and was an executive secretary of "Golfworld" Magazine.
Surviving are sons, Joseph R. Monroe Jr. of Pinehurst, Howard B. Monroe of Clayton; sisters, Carolyn H. Blue of Eagle Springs, Pat H. Parker of Plymouth; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the church following the service.

He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Jean Bischer, a Sunday School teacher at his church, the owner/operator of A&F Wholesale in Randleman for 30 years and a member of the Randleman Lions Club.
Surviving are sons, Curtis Bischer of Winston-Salem, Keith Bischer of Seagrove; brother, J.C. Bischer of Asheboro; sister, Etta Mae B. Bischer of Rancho Cucamouga, Calif.; three grandchildren.

She was a native of Surry County and a homemaker.

NORMAN - William Daniel "June" Baldwin, 77, of 5317 U.S. 220 North, formerly of Lake Norman, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, Candor, with the Rev. Bobby Roberson and Tony Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in the Baldwin Family Cemetery in Norman.
He was a native of Montgomery County, the widower of Gladys Taylor Baldwin, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the American Legion in Newton. He retired from Duke Power company after more than 38 years and was a family genealogist.
Surviving are wife, Patricia "Priss" Holland Baldwin of the home; daughters, Dorothy B. Warren of Gastonia, Sylvia Baldwin of Bellville, N.J.; brothers, Robert L. Baldwin of Stanley, Roger A. Baldwin of York, S.C.; sister, Nancy Irene Smith of Jackson Springs; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
