DURHAM - Cynthia Lee Arthur of Durham, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at her home.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
She was a native of Asheboro, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and of Danville Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
Surviving are mother, Mildred W. Arthur of Danville, Va.; sister, Anne Arberg of Chapel Hill.

VALATIE, N.Y. - Irene Kempf, 73, of Road #2, Route 28, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, N.Y.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, N.Y., with the Rev. Walcott Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Valatie.
She was a native of Wilna, Poland, employed by Grand Union in the non-food department for 35 years, a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kinderhook, a former member of Home Dem and the PTA at Martin H. Glynn School, Valatie and was a life master in duplicate bridge.
Surviving are husband, Edward C. Kempf; son, Robert E. Kempf of Asheboro.
The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

She was a native of Randolph County and was employed with Moll Plastics in Seagrove.
Surviving are son, James Phillip Cooper of Asheboro; brothers, Rev. Clay Davis and Arnold Davis, both of Seagrove, Ray Davis of Asheboro; sisters, Clara Jean Hoover and Lola Mae Owen, both of Seagrove.

Roy Lee Wilson, 62, of 3263 Doris Acres St., Asheboro, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at his home.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro. Burial will be in Giles Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, had served with the Army National Guard and had worked as a utilities lineman with several companies in the Southeast.

She was a native of Moore County and a homemaker.

He was a native of Oklahoma, a retired salesman for the wholesale food industry and a member of Thomasville Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She was a native of Richmond County, the widow of Wayman Kivett, retired from Belk Yates Department Store, was the first Miss Asheboro winning in 1933 and was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Blanche McGlohon Sunday School Class.
Surviving are daughters, Betty K. Pennington of Belmont, Martha K. Bristow of Asheboro; son, Charles W. Kivett Jr. of Rock Hill, S.C.; sister, Pauline Mesimer of Newport News, Va.; brother, Harold G. McRae of Kenly; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

ARCHDALE - John Cleveland Hill Sr., 67, of Old Marlboro Road, Sophia, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hughes Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Buddy Fox officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, founder and owner of Paramount Paper Products Corporation, formerly J & G Paper Corp. and was founder and partner of Kraft Converters Inc. where both companies later merged into Leggett-Platt Inc. He was past president of the Sunday school and prayer room leader at his church and a former member of the board of directors of the Ralph Sexton Ministries.
Surviving are wife, Pearl H. Hill of the home; daughters, Bonnie Louise Shrewsbury of Fayetteville, Ann White, Margaret Howell and Christal Mansell, all of High Point; sons, the Rev. John C.
