TRINITY - Johnny Alvin White III, 49, of 3225 Mountainview St., died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at the home of his mother.
Memorial service was Tuesday at Cotton Grove United Methodist Church in Lexington.
He was a native of High Point.
Surviving are wife, Donna L. White of Southport; mother, Sara Allene White of Trinity; sons, Jeff White of Lexington, Bill White of Trinity; daughter, Olivia Baldwin of Trinity; brother, Frank White of Mt. Airy; sister, Barbara White of Trinity; five grandchildren.
Cremation Services of Winston-Salem and Memorial Funeral Chapel were in charge of the arrangements.

HIGH POINT - Roy Harrison Cashatt, 80, formerly of Welch Drive, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, with the Rev. Bruce Hopper officiating. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
He was a native of Davidson County, retired from Boyles Auto Parts, was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are wife, Mary Jones Cashatt of High Point; daughter, Nancy Hulin of Asheboro; sons, Burton Cashatt and Bill Cashatt, both of High Point; brothers, Calvin Cashatt and Richard Cashatt, both of High Point; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 1-2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.

CARTHAGE - Louvene Williams Brown, 67, of 824 Plank Road, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bennie Maness and the Rev. Fred Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Moore County, the widow of Roy Gilbert Brown, a member of Big Oak Christian Church, a former employee of Midway Grill and a homemaker.
Surviving are daughters, Carol B. Moore of Robbins, Brenda B. Rouse of Carthage, Gail B. Vaughan of Mt. Olive; sons, Leland Gilbert Brown of Jackson Springs, Walter "Shorty" Brown and Roy Junior Brown, both of Carthage; sisters, Arlene W. Brewer of Eagle Springs, Irene W. Hussey of Level Cross, Peggy W. Oakley of Greensboro; brothers, Sherman Williams, Gurney Williams and Roby Williams, all of Robbins, Elwood Williams and Worthy "Sugar Tom" Williams, both of Eagle Springs; seven grandchildren.

CARTHAGE - Sidney Braxton Johnson Jr., 77, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Carthage, with the Rev. Tom Herndon and the Rev. Charles Hinson officiating. Entombment will be in Cross Hill Mausoleum.
He was a native of Anson County, a former Carthage Town Commissioner, a board member of Carthage Medical Center, a pharmacist and former owner of Shields Drug Store and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are daughter, Kathleen Victoria Johnson of the home; son, S.B. Johnson III of Cary; sisters, Mrs. Glenn Little of Mt. Holly, Mrs. Harold Capel of Wadesboro; brother, Harold "Knock" Johnson of Wadesboro.

PINEHURST - Emma Trotter Thomas, 97, of Carolina House, Pinehurst, formerly of 2551 Carthage Road, West End, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Carolina House.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Doub's Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clarence Garner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Moore County and the widow of Silas Thomas.

She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Allison Fuller Nance and a member of Forest Park Baptist Church in Randleman.
Surviving are sister, Grace Beane of Randleman; brothers, Ralph Williamson of Asheboro, Roy "Nub" Williamson of Seagrove; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Stella Katherine Walker Watkins, 66, of 945 S. Church St., Asheboro, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

She was a native of Randolph County, retired from Champagne Dye after 27 years, had served on the Greensboro City Police force for six years and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a native of Iager, W.Va., a self-employed retailer, a U.S. Army veteran and was of the Holiness faith.
Surviving are fiancee, Alicia Cornell of the home; daughters, Ricki Maria Hagy of Archdale, Renee Raby of Jolo, W.Va.; son, Jake Hagy of New Hampshire; sister, Sheila Bailey Keaton of Sophia; brothers, Luke Proffit of Asheboro, Marcus Riffe of Archdale; one grandson.

She was a native of Ingold in Sampson County, the widow of Guy B. Teachey, a graduate of East Carolina Teacher's College and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a charter member of the Reviewers' Book Club, a member and deacon of First Baptist Church and taught in several elementary schools in Sampson County and at Lester's Learners Private First Grade School in Asheboro.
Surviving are daughter, Nan T. Kemp of Asheboro; son, Guy Philip Teachey of Montpelier, Va.; sisters, Jessie C. Boney of Clinton, Dolores C. Ferguson of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren; one great-grandson.
