Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Jonathan Shook and the Rev. Tim Strider officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Randolph County, employed at Jockey international and attended Bailey's Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are husband, Drury F. "June Bug" Ward of Asheboro; son, Mastin Aldridge of Denton; stepson, Dean Ward of Reidsville; brothers, Wayne Beaver and Homer Beaver, both of Asheboro; sister, Allene Hardison of Asheboro; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

RAMSEUR - Josephine Gierisch Larsen, 89, of SunBridge of Asheboro, formerly of Ramseur, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Randolph Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
She was a native of Gardiner, N.Y., and a teacher.
Surviving are brothers, Theodore Gierisch of Asheboro, Frank Gierisch of Modena, N.Y.; sisters, Isabelle Ondecker of Akron, Ohio, Ellen Gadelji of Salisbury Mills, N.Y.

MT. GILEAD - Maude Belven McLeod, 94, of Asheboro Health and Rehabilitation Center, Asheboro, formerly of Wadeville, died Friday, May 19, 2000, in Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wadeville A.M.E. Zion Church, Wadeville, with the Rev. Dewey Rudisell and Elder James Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Bruton Cemetery.
She was a native of Montgomery County, a member of Saint's Delight Holiness Church, where she was a member of the Missionary Department, and a retired caretaker.
Surviving is niece, Carole Thomas of Wadeville, who was her caretaker.
The family will be at Harris Funeral Home, Mt. Gilead, 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home of the niece in Wadeville.

MT. GILEAD - Allen Pemberton, 72, of 104 High St., died Saturday, May 20, 2000, in FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Zion A.M.E. Zion Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Raymond Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Anson County, retired from Jacob Creek Stone Co., Denton, and an employee of Harris Funeral Home.
Surviving are wife, Ella Louise Lilly Pemberton of the home; daughters, Linda Faye Pemberton, Elizabeth Pemberton, Ann Little, Emma Pemberton and Sheila Pemberton, all of Mt. Gilead; sons, Steve Pemberton and Sylvester Pemberton, both of Troy, Stanley Pemberton and Gilbert Pemberton, both of Mount Gilead, Milton Pemberton of Norfolk, Va.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, where he was a member, with Father Mark J. Betti and the Rev. Tom Loftis officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memory Gardens.
He was a native of Auburn, Mass., a graduate of Worchester Polytech Institute in Worchester, Mass., in electrical engineering, retired after 35 years with Union Carbide, was a member of Quail Ridge Men's Golf Association and a former member of the Quail Ridge Tennis and Swim Club.
Surviving are wife, RosaLee Bonin; sons, John A. Bonin of Kent, Ohio, Douglas M. Bonin of Chesterton, Ind., David L. Bonin of Hartsville, Ohio; daughters, Paulette B. Bray of Lumberton, Patricia B. Aussem of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Teresa B. Becks of Fairview Park, Ohio; 13 grandchildren.

He was a native of Asheboro, the widower of Virginia Dixon Smith, an owner and operator of Crescent Milling Co. for 41 years, an eIder at his church and was retired from the Reidsville Rescue Squad.
Surviving are son, Kirk Smith of Reidsville; daughter, Karen S. Styons of Reidsville; brother, Waldo Smith of Reidsville; sisters, Virgie S. Pugh and Edith S. Macon, both of Asheboro, Roberta S. Eckerd of Orlando, Fla., Juanita S. Walker of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Earl Taylor, 80, of 140 S. Randolph Ave., Asheboro, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at his home.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Boyd Stokes and the Rev. John Cagle officiating. Entombment will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a 1941 graduate of Elon College, on the Board of Directors for Mt. Shepherd Retreat Center and Randolph County Mental Health, on the official board and a Sunday School Superintendent at his church and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
Surviving are wife, Frances Frazier Taylor; sons, Earl Frazier Taylor of Glenn Allen, Va., Dr. Peter J. Taylor of Hayesville; brothers, Ira Taylor and James Walter Taylor, both of Harrisburg, Roy Mitchell Taylor of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren.

She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Arthur E. Presnell Jr. and a children's Sunday School teacher for many years in Garner and in Clinton.
Surviving are daughters, Marsha Presnell-Jennette, Janice Ellen Presnell and Star J. Presnell; sons, C. Dane Presnell and Benjamin S. Presnell; sisters, Esther Moffitt, Ruth M. Pugh, Judy M. Chisholm and Jerrie M. Morton; brother, Lloyd Moffitt; seven grandchildren.

She was the widow of Vann Dixon, a member of Central United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and a church treasurer, and a retired secretary of North Asheboro Junior High (now North Asheboro Middle School).
Surviving are daughter, Dr. Eva D. Hardison of Durham; sisters, Lucy Leigh Wright of Asheboro, Ultra L. Parks of Orlando, Fla.
