Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Friends Meeting, with the Rev. Hadley Robertson and the Rev. Wayne Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Gilmore Memorial Park, Julian.
He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Joyce Garrett Haithcox, a retired sheet metal worker with LocaI 159 and a Relay for Life participant.
Surviving are sons, Senior Chief James Haithcox of Chesapeake, Va., Lorne Haithcox of Greensboro; daughters, Lynn H. Trogdon and Lisa H. Isom, both of Liberty; Amy Aversa of the home; sister, Lillian H. Staley of Siler City; brother, Floyd Haithcox of Liberty; half brother, Roscoe Poe of Liberty; seven grandchildren.

HICKORY - James Bryan Pegram of Hickory died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Brian Center in Viewmont.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bass-Smith Funeral Home, Hickory, with the Rev. Steve Welborn officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Post #48.
He was a native of Siler City, a member of the Church of the Master UCC, a retired service manager with Aiken and Black Co., had worked at Wal-Mart and was a World War II U.S. Army-Air Corps veteran.
Surviving are wife, Ruth Campbell Pegram of the home; daughter, Karen P. Turner of Hickory; son, David Bryan Pegram of Randleman; sister, Blanch P. Beard of Lenoir; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

ROBBINS - Virginia McNeill Owen, 74, of 439 Sunset Drive, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Ron Copple officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was the widow of Bryce N. Owen and a homemaker.

He was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Bossong Hosiery Mill.

She was a Randolph County native, employed in the school cafeteria at Randleman Middle School, and a member and choir director at the Asheboro Church of Jesus.

She was a native of Chatham County, the widow of Peter T. Francisco, a homemaker and a member of First Wesleyan Church.
