She was a native of Carthage and retired from Moore Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aid.
Surviving are son, John Berlin Kelly Jr. of Charlotte; daughter, Pecolia Kelly Hennigan of Charlotte.

ASHEBORO - Leola Gertrude Wood McLeod, 91, of 615 Silver Ave., Asheboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Lee Roy Hunt and the Rev. Jean Nall officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Hoke County, the widow of Claude McLeod, and a homemaker.
Surviving are daughters, Marie Castleberry of Sanford, Alease Landreth of Asheboro; son, David McLeod of Asheboro; sister, Mamie McKenzie of Asheboro; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

ARCHDALE - Maude Miller Auman, 96, of 2898 Bronzie Lawson Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with the Rev. Harold Shives officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was the widow of Walter A. Clodfelter Sr. and Lester W. Auman Sr., taught in Randolph County schools, worked at Adams Millis Hosiery, and was a member of Archdale United Methodist Church, where she was in the Susanna Wesley Sunday School and the Adult Bible Class.
Surviving are sons, Walter A. Clodfelter Jr. of Chapel Hill, Lester W. Auman Jr. of Winston-Salem; sister, Zelma Miller Winfield of Washington; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was a former employee of Lazar Industries and was of the Baptist faith.

She was a native of Montgomery County, a 1972 graduate of West Montgomery High School, a 1974 graduate of Durham Business College, where she received an associate degree in computer programming. She was employed with the Business and Finance office of Duke University Health Systems, Durham, was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Post #358 in Troy, and an affiliate of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Gilead, and Markham Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Durham.
Surviving are mother, Mary A. Patterson of Troy; sisters, Hallie M. Love of Baltimore, Md., Andrea P. Marshall and Loretta F. Patterson, both of Troy; brothers, William G. Patterson of Durham, Larry E. Patterson of Troy.

He was a native of Alamance County, chairman of the Board of Deacons, a Sunday School teacher, a member of the cemetery committee and other committees, Sunday School superintendent and Scoutmaster of his church's troop. He was a retired rural mail carrier with the Liberty Post Office, formerly served as a school board member with Sylvan High and Southern Alamance high schools, and was a member of the Sylvan Ruritan Club.
Surviving are wife, Edith Isley Overman of the home; son, Ronnie Overman of Liberty; brothers, J. Ralph Overman and Malcolm Harold Overman, both of Liberty; two grandchildren.

She was a native of Lee County, a member of Adult #2 Fellowship Sunday School class, served as Register of Deeds for Chatham County, was a member of Siler City Chapter #9 Order of Eastern Star where she was past Matron, treasurer and held numerous other offices. She was formerly employed with the Greensboro News/Record, was a former chairman of the Chatham County Democratic Party, former president of the State Association of the Register of Deeds, and served on the State Insurance Committee and Domicile Committee for Chatham County.
Surviving are daughters, Barber T. Diver of Carbonton, Sallie T. Milholen of Siler City; brothers, Arthur D. Barber Jr. of Richmond, Va., Mills M. Barber of Charlotte; sister, Lynne B. Adamson of Roseboro; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a Yadkin County native, a homemaker and the widow of Jesse Virgil Dobbins.
