Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. J. Nathan King officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Randolph County and a member of Asheboro United Church of Christ. She retired from Randolph Hospital after 23 years of service.
Surviving are husband, Harmon Hill; daughter, Terri Hill of Greensboro.

Dr. Philip L. Shore Jr.
ASHEBORO - Dr. Philip Linus Shore Jr., 85, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at his home in Charlotte.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Asheboro, with Dr. Boyd Stokes and the Rev. Richard Howle officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
He was a native of Mocksville, the widower of Mary Anna Wilson Shore, a 1935 Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University and received a Master of Divinity in 1946, was member of the Western N.C. Conference and was a World War II U.S. Navy and U.S. Marines veteran. He served churches in Muirs Chapel, Gibsonville, Lexington, Thomasville, Asheboro, and other places, he was District Superintendent for the High Point and Gastonia districts and he received an honorary doctorate in divinity from High Point College in 1962. He served as an interim pastorate at Jordan Memorial, Ramseur, New Salem and West Bend, Asheboro. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Brevard College, a delegate to General Conference and was a writer, photographer, and pianist.
Surviving are daughter, Carey S. Amberger of Rhoadesville, Va.; sons, Philip L. Shore III of Asheboro, Timothy Wilson Shore of Hollywood, Fla.; sister, Lucille Hartsook of Greensboro; three grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Steve Lawrence "Red" Williams, 47, of 1854 Mack Road, Asheboro, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Robert Armstrong and the Rev. Charles Stout officiating. Burial will be in West Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, a former employee of Summey's Home Repair and was a member of Moose Lodge # 1659.

RANDLEMAN - Clara Jewel Hahn Burris, 83, of 10973 Randleman Road, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

She was a native of Stanly County and retired owner and operator of Burris Kennel.
Surviving are daughters, Betty Jo Bailey, Vickie Jean Mounce, both of Greensboro; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County, retired from Founder Furniture, Pleasant Garden, and attended Balfour Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, Blanche Bundy Hepler of Randleman; sons, Larry Bundy of Francisco, Bobby Hepler of Durham, David Wayne Hepler of the home; four grandchildren; one great-grandson.

ERECT - George Lewis Teague, 70, of 4951 Fork Creek Mill Road, died Monday, August 28, 2000, at his home
Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Vonnie Vredenburg and the Rev. George A. Auman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Mary Anne Ledwell Teague, a 1950 graduate of Pfeiffer College, and he attended High Point College. He was an assistant Sunday School teacher, a former Sunday School Superintendent, a delegate to the annual conference and was on various committees and church boards. He was retired from Lowes Home Improvement Store, Asheboro, the owner and operator of Teague's Store in Erect for 13 years, and he was a cattle farmer. He was a member of the Masons, the Tri-County Ruritan Association and the American Legion and he served in the Randolph County Honor Guard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was on the local school board.
Surviving are wife, Adeline L. Teague of Erect; son, George L. Teague Jr. of Lexington; daughter, Nell A. Teague of Asheboro; stepson, James Clinton Homer of Cincinnati, Ohio; stepdaughters, Janice Morrison of Southern Pines, Barbara Sweet of Placentia, Calif.; brother, Charles E.
