Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Mt. Gilead, with the Rev. Chris Cadenhead officiating.
He was a native of Stanly County, a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran, was a mail handler for the U.S. Post Office and a graduate of North Carolina State University.
Surviving are wife, Silvia Cercado Greene of the home; mother, Ruth Mabry Greene; brother, Alan Greene of Albemarle; sisters, Pamela G. Hatley of Charlotte, Penelope G. Brookshire of Supply.
The family will be at the home 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service, and at the home of Ruth Greene, 500 S. Wadesboro Blvd., Mt. Gilead, following the service.

RANDLEMAN - Christine Atwell Richardson, 82, of 307 E. Naomi St., died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Randolph Memorial Park, with the Rev. Troy Wilhelm and the Rev. Danny Peterson officiating.
She was a native of Barnesville, Va., a homemaker and a member of Central Cathedral Church God.
Surviving are husband, John C. Richardson of Randleman; daughter, Joyce R. McPherson of Archdale; sons, Ronnie Richardson of Asheboro, Bobby Richardson of Lamoine, Maine, Harold Richardson of Randleman; brother, Clarence Camp of Randleman; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

LIBERTY - Treva Carlene (Red) Hinshaw, 75, of Liberty, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Moses Cone Extended Care Center in Greensboro.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, with the Rev. Bill Bigham officiating.
She was a native of Randolph County.
There will be no visitation.

SILER CITY - Esbie Scotton Stevens, 84, of 1730 Tom Steven Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Plainfield Friends Meeting, 1956 Plainfield Church Road, where she was a member, with Ken and Pat Thames and Terry Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, a member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class and was retired from Boling Chair Co.
Surviving are husband, Roland Stevens of Siler City; sons, Cletus Stevens, Jerry Stevens, both of Siler City; sister, Margaret S. Thomas of Siler City; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

DENTON - Harlen Clifford Hulin, 74, of 2528 Hulin-McDowell Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, with the Rev. Ray Swaney and the Rev. Clayton Hulin officiating. Burial will be at Pierce's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County and a self-employed carpenter.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Joseph Leland Wampler Sr., 52, of 178 Powell St., died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at his home.

He was a native of Atlanta, Ga., a graduate of Fruitland Bible College, a Vietnam veteran and a retired mechanic. He was a former pastor of Riverside Baptist Church in Seagrove and a former pastor in Asheboro, a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church and attended West Side Baptist Church of Cowpens.
Surviving are wife, Evelyn Womick Wampler of the home; sons, Joey Wampler, Chris Wampler, Jamie Wampler, all of the home; daughter, Jessica Wampler of the home; brother, Wayne Stevens of Tennessee.

He was a native of Guilford County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, retired employee of Burlington Industries in Asheboro and a former employee of Jim's Car Wash.

He was a native of Guilford County, a graduate of Southern Guilford High School and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He served in the North Carolina National Guard in High Point, was a member of First Assembly of God in Asheboro and was employed at Rafferty-Brown Steel Company in Greensboro.
Surviving are mother, Arlis White Farlow of the home; sister, Elizabeth Carol Farlow of the home; grandmother, Sallie White of High Point.

She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of Daniel Issac Ewing Sr. and a homemaker.
