He was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and a retired sergeant with the Metropolitan Police District of Columbia.
Surviving are son, Charles L. Tedesco III of Laurel, Md.; daughter, Diana L. Paquet of Laurel, Md.; brother, Thomas Tedesco of Leechburg, Pa.; sister, Maria Leon of Verona, Pa.; four grandchildren.

SILER CITY - Marissa Justine Headen, 11, of 215 Elder Road, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at her home.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Monday at First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Barry Gray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Chatham County, a student at Chatham Middle School, and was a member of the Junior Petite Choir, the Bible Study Class and was a Junior Missionary, all at her church.
Surviving are parents, Brent and Deleatha James of the home; brother, Lamont Headen of Lakenheath, England; sister, Keandra Mason of Graham; father, Theodore Greene of Siler City; grandparents, Robert Lee Headen and Joyce Greene, both of Siler City; stepgrandmother, Mamie Coleman of Burlington.

MOREHEAD CITY - Virginia "Ginny" Myers High, 75, of 812 Shepard St., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City, with the Rev. James Gurganus officiating.
She was a native of Asheboro, a graduate of High Smith Hospital School of Nursing in Fayetteville, was a registered nurse at Rex Hospital in Raleigh and was retired from the Veteran's Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Surviving are husband, William S. High of Morehead City; sister, Hazel Myers Sellers of Asheboro.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Rocky Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Randolph County, retired from Burlington Industries after 42 years, had raised and sold produce and he attended Richland Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, Pauline Farlow Allred of the home; daughters, Patricia Ann Cagle of Randleman, Vickie Lynne Hinesley of Asheboro; sisters, Etta Maie Moore, Mary Lois Moore and Maxine Canipe, all of Asheboro; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Davidson County and was retired from Randolph Hospital as a housekeeping supervisor after 20 years.

She had attended High Point College and Women's College in Greensboro and had taught school at Mt. Pleasant School.
Surviving are son, the Rev. Joseph C. Peterson of Sophia; daughter, Janice Clark of Manila, the Philippines; sister, Beulah Bunting of Liberty; brother, Ernest Lanier of Asheboro; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
