Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Staley Cemetery, with the Rev. Van Howard and the Rev. L. W. Cooper officiating.
She was a native of Chatham County, retired from Stout Chair Company and was a member of Pleasant Grove Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are husband, Leroy Poole of Staley; daughter, Martha P. Ore of Staley; two grandchildren; one great-grandson.
The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 7-9 p.m. Monday, other times at the home of Janice Pearn, 418 N. Main St., Staley.
Linda P. Black
CARTHAGE - Linda Puckett Black, 53, of Dowd Road, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Culdee Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Chris Bobo and the Rev. David Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Moore County and an assistant manager at K-Mart.
Surviving are husband, Lee Black; daughter, Lynn Hoxworth of Carthage; sons, Scott Black and Farrell Black, both of Carthage; mother, Eunice Puckett of West End; sisters, Hazel Stutts and Maxine Puckett, both of Carthage; brother, Billy Puckett of West End; three grandchildren.

JACKSON SPRINGS - James Martin "Jim" Patterson, 91, of Jackson Springs Road, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Robert Brozina officiating. Burial will be in the Patterson Family Cemetery.
He was a native of Moore County, an Elder, Sunday School teacher and choir member at his church and was a self-employed farmer.
Surviving is sister, Janie Autry of Jackson Springs.
The family will be at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, Candor, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.

ASHEBORO - Keayra Alexis Anders, 7-week-old infant daughter of James and Denise Anders of 1000 N. Fayetteville St., #8, Asheboro, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at her home.

Surviving in addition to her parents are sister, Kaylea Marie Anders of Liberty; brother, Anthony Michael Smith of Atkins, Ark.; grandparents, James and Ramona Garrett Penley of Liberty, Robert and Joyce Laming of Dardanelle, Ark., Ricky and Virginia Smith of Atkins, Ark.

She was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker.

ASHEBORO - Shelton Williams, 78, of Asheboro, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Carl Zeigler and Mark Sink officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Columbus County, a member of Cobb Memorial Baptist Church, Rockingham, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and was one of the first medical volunteers to Nagasaki after the atomic bomb deployment. He was retired from Burlington Industries.
Among the survivors is daughter, Gail Crawford of Lexington.

Tura P. Mann
RANDLEMAN - Tura Viola Prince Mann, 77, of 491 Rockett Road, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at her home.
No service is scheduled.
She was a native of Trenton, Ga., the widow of Max F. Mann and was retired from the Asheboro Fire Department after 15 years. She worked previously as a fire spotter on Dave's Mountain with the N.C. Forest Service, was a charter member of the Level Cross Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Centre Subordinate Grange and the N.C. State Grange.
Surviving are daughter, Genie S. Howell of Randleman; son, Norman Wayne Stephens of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

She was a native of Lee County, the widow of Luther Phillips, a member of Fidelis Sunday school class and retired from A.J. Schneierson and Chatham Hospital.

DENTON - Richard Kent McDonald, 55, of 85 South Road, High Point, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point, with the Rev. Raymond Craven officiating.
He was a native of Guilford County, employed as a security agent with Caraway Furniture Co. n Sophia and was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church in High Point. He was a graduate of High Point Central High School and had attended Guilford County Community College.
Surviving are father, Charles M. McDonald Sr. of Lexington; stepmother, Cosie McDonald of Lexington; brothers, Charles M. McDonald Jr. of Statesville, Darrell W. McDonald of Lexington.

He was a native of Randleman, a retired building contractor, a member of Old Union United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a charter member of Level Cross Civitan and Level Cross Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a native of Columbiana, Ohio, the former owner/operator of Hall's Transfer of Asheboro, a charter member of the Randolph Rifle Club and a volunteer for the Family Crisis Center of Asheboro. He attended Asheboro Friends Meeting, was a member of the Baraca Sunday School Class for over 50 years and was a member of The Smiling Squares Dance Club and the Randolph Squares Dance Club.
Surviving are wife, Margaret Grose Hall; daughters, Janice H. Byrd of Pleasant Garden, Elaine Haigler of Asheboro; sons, Larry J. Hall, Darrell R. Parks, both of Asheboro; sister, Elsie McDowell of Farmer; brothers, Wilmer J. Hall, Harry Hall, both of Asheboro; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
