Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Thurman Williams officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

He was a native of Cumberland County, the widower of Vivian Ruth Musselwhite and was retired from Burlington Industries in Ramseur. He attended Mountain of Faith Christian Church and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are wife, Sara Frances Musselwhite of the home; stepdaughters, Debbie Allred of Asheboro, Carol Reynolds of Kings Bay, Ga.; sons, Jimmie Edgar Musselwhite of Salisbury, Kennie Ray Musselwhite of Pleasant Garden; stepsons, Happy McCracken of Mullins, S.C., Mitchell McCracken of Summerville, S.C., David McCracken of Charleston, S.C.; stepmother, Irene Musselwhite of China Grove; sisters, Freda Jean Hendrix of Gilbert, S.C., Mittie Katherine Fowler of Houston, Texas, Shirley Ann Musselwhite of China Grove; brothers, Smitty Gene Musselwhite of Fayetteville, Harvey Lee Musselwhite of Salisbury; three grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

MT. GILEAD - Shirley O'Neil Craven, 69, of 168 Melton Grove Church Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at her home.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Alex Willoughby officiating.

She was a native of Montgomery County and was a retired professional.

NORMAN - Dotsie "Dot" Mae Baldwin, 70, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Flower Hospital, Sylvania, Ohio.

Clarence E. Loflin
DENTON - Clarence Edward Loflin, 60, of Nokomis, Fla., and Brevard, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, in Florida.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Alleghany United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Don Waters and the Rev. Peter McGuire officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Davidson County, he founded Suncoast Aluminum of Nokomis, Fla., and was a member of the Suncoast Kiwanis Club of Venice, the Boy Scouts of America, Venice YMCA, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Loveland Center. He was a past president of the Aluminum Association of Florida and was in the Manatee-Sarasota County Builders Association.

Surviving are wife, Sally Loflin of the home in Brevard; sons, Barry Loflin of Hot Springs, C. J. Loflin of New York, N.Y.; daughters, Shonda Loflin of Sarasota, Fla., Jacque Loflin of Brevard; brothers, Bill Loflin of Asheboro, Joe Loflin of Denton, Robert Loflin of New London; sisters, Dorothy Hill of Denton, Carlene Varner of Badin Lake, Marlene Efird of Rockwell, Evangeline Criscoe of Stanfield; six grandchildren.

The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, 7-to 9 p.m. Friday.

SILER CITY - Terry Andy Lamb, 42, of 1356 Stage Coach Road, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Caraway Baptist Church, Sophia, with the Rev. Jimmy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County and was employed with MasterCraft Fabrics, Siler City.

Surviving are sons, Anthony Lamb of Kalamazoo, Mich., Michael Eugene Lamb of Pittsboro; mother, Shelby Jean Lamb of Sophia; brothers, George Allred of Pittsboro, Dean Allred and Richard Allred, both of Keansville; sisters, Chris Rich and Tammy Hill, both of Sophia, Pat Hunt of Tabernacle.

The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of Anthony Lamb, 1726-B Hillsborough St., Pittsboro.

Sara T. Sherrill
SANFORD - Sara Tuck Sherrill, 82, of Sanford, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Central Carolina Hospital.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, at First Calvary Baptist Church, Sanford, with Dr. J.L. Morgan officiating.

She was a native of Goldston, the widow of Carl E. Sherrill, and attended school at Lee County Training School, North Carolina College, Winston-Salem Teachers College and East Carolina University. She taught school in Landis, and in Lee County at Bragg Street School and Floyd Knight School and retired after 35 years of teaching in Lee County.

Surviving are son, Charles Yokley of Landis; one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to The Sara Tuck Sherrill Memorial Fund, Floyd L. Knight Children's Center, 604 McIntosh St., Sanford, N.C. 27330.

GREENVILLE - Ruby Ritchie Bunch, 74, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.

She was a member of Arlington Boulevard Baptist Church in Greenville and was formerly of Stanly County.

Surviving are husband, Walter Bunch of the home; sons, Kenneth Craig Bunch of Winterville, Walter Edward Bunch of Greenville; daughter, Martha Ellen Lawson of Asheboro; sisters, Betty Dean Register of Supply, Ella Stiller of Albemarle; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Richard G. Medford Jr.
PINEHURST - Richard G. Medford Jr., 67, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Springs Baptist Church, with Dr. Zeb V. Moss officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Moore County, a U.S. Marines Corps veteran and a retired textile employee.

Surviving are sons, Richard Medford and Billy Medford, both of Hamlet; mother, Flossie F. Medford Frye of West End; sister, Elsie Beauchamp of New York; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage, 7-8:30 p.m. Friday.

Franklin D. Burgess
RAMSEUR - Franklin Delano Burgess, 67, of 4432 Newell St., died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at his home.

No service is scheduled.

He was a native of Randolph County and retired from Jockey International Inc.

Surviving are sons, Frankie Burgess, Michael Burgess, both of Archdale; daughter, Rose Marie "Sandy" Kindley of Thomasville; brothers, Boyd Harvey Burgess of Staley, Hampton Burgess, G.C. Burgess, both of Ramseur; sisters, Blanche Marie Mitchell of Surfside, S.C., Clarice Ann Chriscoe of Ramseur, Elizabeth Cox of Asheboro; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, is in charge of arrangements.

Elsie D. Jones
CLIMAX - Elsie Dunn Jones, 79, of 6638 Dusten Road, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at her home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty, with the Rev. Vernon Williams officiating. Burial will be in Gilmore MemoriaI Park, Julian.

She was a native of Lee County, the widow of David W. Jones Sr., a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Blue Bell in Greensboro.

Surviving are son, David W. Jones Jr. of Climax; sisters, Rachel Siler of Fort Meade, Fla., Blondie Anderson of Franklinville, Christine Head of Vass; brothers, H.G. Dunn of Pleasant Garden, Chester Dunn of Carthage; two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday, at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty.

SILER CITY - Connie Cornelius Currie, 79, of 878 Harold Andrews Road, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at his home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity United Holy Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Samuel B. Obie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Chatham County.

Surviving are sisters, Henrietta Carter, Beaulah Lee, Martha Lutterloh, all of Siler City, Margaret Newby of Chapel Hill, Elmer Person of Pittsboro; brothers, John Currie of Franklinville, Samuel Currie of Siler City.

The family will be at the church 1:30-2 p.m. Monday.

Marjorie M. Cranford
DENTON - Marjorie Marie Cranford, 87, of Peacock Avenue, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Community General Hospital, Thomasville.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Denton Wesleyan Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Charles Moses officiating. Burial will be in Denton Town Cemetery.

She was a native of Davidson County and a retired nursing assistant from Griffis Clinic, Randolph Hospital and Mountain Vista Health Park. She was a graduate of Denton High School, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Young at Heart Club Rhythm Band.

Surviving are brother, Mack Cranford of Denton; sister, Annie Watts of Thomasville.

The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, 5-7 p.m. Sunday, other times at the home of Mack Cranford, 119 Forest Park Drive, Denton.

Jessica L. Cox
WINSTON-SALEM - Jessica Leann Cox, 16, of Winston-Salem, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Memorial service is 3 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, Winston-Salem, with the Rev. Jimmy Bowden officiating.

She was a native of Forsyth County, a junior at Ledford Senior High and a member of the Journalism Club.

Surviving are parents, James Lee "Jimmy" and Billie Ann Cox Farrar of the home; grandparents Nancy Duncan, James and Wanda Farrar, all of Winston-Salem, Jesse Cox of Jackson, Tenn.; great-grandfather, Howard Walton of Danville, Va.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials in Jessica's name be made to charity of the donor's choice.

WINSTON-SALEM - Stella Elizabeth Dunn, 52, of 3925 Elkton Trail, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, with Pastor Jim Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.

She was a native of Lowville, N.Y., and an employee at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, Winston-Salem.

He was a native of Randolph County, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a former employee of Burlington Mills, former owner of Rich Texaco and he was a member of Central Falls United Methodist Church.

Surviving are wife, June Freeman Rich of Asheboro; son, David Freeman Rich of Asheboro; daughter, Joan R. Durham of Asheboro; sister, Edith Lemmons of Burlington; brothers, Joe Rich and Reid Rich, both of Asheboro, Harris Rich of Roanoke, Va.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Botetourt County, Va., and a homemaker.

SILER CITY - Johnny Clarence Brady, 84, of 412 S. 6th Ave., died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.

He was a native of Chatham County and was retired from Southland Life Insurance Co.

Surviving are wife, Doris Murray Brady of Siler City; sons, Wayne Brady of Tallahassee, Fla., Dr. Don Brady of Franklin Springs, Ga.; daughter, Janice B. Maxwell of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, David Brady of Siler City; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
