Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with Dr. Boyd Stokes officiating. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park.
She was a native of Anson County, the widow of A.C. Brittain, a homemaker and a member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are son, Steve Brittain of Asheboro; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Orange County, the widow of the Rev. Colon C. Hancock, a homemaker and a member of the Gospel Chapel Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, David C. Hancock, Samuel C. Hancock, both of Asheboro; daughter, Patricia Young of Asheboro; sister, June Galloway of Clemson, S.C.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Marcus Elwood "Mark" Loflin Jr., 70, of 305-A Country Club Drive, Asheboro, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at Randolph Hospital.
His body has been donated to medical science and no service is planned at this time.
He was a native of Caswell County, a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from B.B. Walker Shoe Co.

He was a native of Rockingham County, a Korean War U.S. Navy veteran, retired from Southern Railway after 31 years, and was co-owner of Play Skool Day Care.

She was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Women's College of Greensboro with a B.A. and of North Carolina State University with a master's degree. She was a retired teacher and guidance counselor for many years at Farmer School and had also worked with the Lexington School System. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Asheboro, where she was a Sunday school teacher for the Philathia Class and sang in the choir, and she was in the Home Demonstration Club.
Surviving are son, Bob Hussey Jr. of Asheboro; daughters, Caroline Freeman of Charlotte, Judy Potthoff of Greensboro; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Snow Camp, the widow of Dr. Irving L. Pollett and had attended Guilford College. She was a member of Siler City Presbyterian Church Evening Circle, was a Past Worthy Matron of Siler City No. 9 Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Moore County Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Deep River Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII, Brush Creek Extension Club and the Chatham Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are sons, Phillip Eugene Pollett of Seagrove, Douglas Teague Pollett of Oak Ridge; three grandchildren.
