Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Ray Swaney and Dr. Roy Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Shepherd Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Union County, the widow of C. D. "Pat" Causey, a homemaker and a member of High Rock Baptist Church, where she had been a choir member and Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are daughters, Rebecca Raymond, Jo Reeder, Lorie McNeill, and Martie Kearns, all of Asheboro; sons, William Causey, Timmy Causey, and Todd Causey, all of Asheboro; sisters, Louise Smith of Colfax, Peggy Martin of Kernersville; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Monday, other times at the home.

STAR - Channie Mae Cagle Saunders, 70, of 2555 Ether Road, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Center Cross Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Lovejoy UMC Cemetery.

ASHEBORO - Wilbur Carr Kearns, 88, of 379 Patton Ave., Asheboro, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Browers Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Jeff Sypole officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, retired from Acme McCrary Corp., was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and he played in the Kearns Brothers Quartet.
Surviving are wife, Cleta Mae Ragsdale Kearns of Asheboro; sons, Neale Kearns, John Kearns, both of Asheboro; brother, Claude Kearns of Asheboro; three grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Alma Jane Spivey Lewis, 96, formerly of 516 Spencer Ave., Asheboro, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Park Rest Nursing Home, Savannah, Tenn.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Cemetery, with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating.
She was a native of Richmond County and a member of First Baptist Church in Asheboro.
Surviving are sons, Wilburn L. Lewis of Greensboro, Eugene E. Lewis of Counce, Tenn.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Chester Roberson Hall, 71, of 724 Old Plank Road, Asheboro, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Norman Livengood officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Erwin, retired from Southern/Liberty Life Insurance and was a graduate of Worth Business College in Fayetteville. He was a member of Life Underwriters of Randolph County, a member of First Baptist Church in Seagrove where he was a former deacon and Sunday School teacher, a past president of the Asheboro Civitan Club and a member of the Lions Club. He received several Senior Citizen of the Year Awards and the 1998 Helping Hand Award from the N.C. Jaycees. He was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and a previous Precinct Judge in Richland Township Precinct.
Surviving are wife, Bessie Beal Hall of the home; daughters, Janet Moody of Wake Forest, Debi Johnson of Greensboro; sister, Mary H. Wilmers of Fayetteville; brothers, Bobby R. Hall, Larry G. Hall, both of Sanford, Benny H. Hall of Erwin; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran where he received the Purple Heart, and was a member of Gospel Missionary Church. He was a former employee of Enterprise Oil Co., a security guard with Randolph Mall and a former security guard with Klaussner Furniture Industries.
Surviving are wife, June S. McDonald; son, William Ray McDonald of Asheboro; daughters, Diane M. Voncannon, Shelia M. Wilson, both of Asheboro; brother, Virgil McDonald of High Point; stepsons, Larry Jester, Pat Jester, both of Ramseur; stepdaughter, Phyllis Collins of Pleasant Garden; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County, a retired brick layer and a U.S. Army veteran.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Biscoe Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Ann Beach and Chaplain A.G. Parker officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
He was a member and past commander of the Biscoe VFW Post, an Adjutant of DAV chapter 12 Albemarle, and a member of the Korean War 7th Cavalry Association and the 1st Calvary Association of North Carolina. He was a member of the Military Order of Cooties, a VFW activity chairman, an Eagle Scout and had worked with the Boy Scouts.
Surviving are wife, Frances O. Dyson of Biscoe; son, Johnie M. Dyson Jr. of Robbins; daughter, Kathy L. Dyson of Gastonia; sisters, Betty Bailey of Greenville, Frances "Peggy" Maness of Archdale, Estelle Spivey of Asheboro.
