Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highfalls Friends Meeting Cemetery, with the Rev. D.L. Hussey officiating.
He was a native of Highfalls, a retired furniture manufacturer and designer, and a former member of Highfalls Friends Meeting.
Surviving are son, Gary Garner of Morganton; sisters, Ruby G. Hedrick of High Point, Gladys G. Russell of Highfalls; one grandson.

ASHEBORO - Ina Steed McDonald, 88, of 317 Saunders Drive, Asheboro, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oaklawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Barnes officiating.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of L.B. McDonald, was retired from Acme-McCrary Corp., was a member of Sophia Baptist Church and a former member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Ina Jean Phillips of Asheboro; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
The family will be at the home of the daughter, 536 Brookwood Drive, Asheboro.

ASHEBORO - Blanche Coble Tysinger, 76, of Asheboro Health & Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Underwood Street, Asheboro, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at the center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, with the Rev. Andy Scott officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Clyde Edward Tysinger Sr., retired from Stedmans Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are son, Clyde Edward Tysinger Jr. of Asheboro; daughter, Cindy T. Jones of Bennett; sister, Daphne Brady of Asheboro; two grandchildren.

ARCHDALE - Susie Iola Holland, 58, of Westwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, Archdale, formerly of Leonard Avenue, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Alphonso Everett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of William Penn High School and had attended Greensboro Technical Community College. She was a member and vice president of the United Methodist Women, a member of the usher board, gospel choir, the trustee board and was membership secretary at her church, and she was last employed as a manager at a local Burger King.
Surviving are sons, Antron Holland of High Point, Mark Holland of Lincoln, Neb.; daughters, Deborah H. Scott and Kristina H. Joyner, both of High Point; brothers, the Rev. Cornelius Holland of Hickory, the Rev. Richard Holland of Augusta, Ga., Joseph Holland of Charlotte, Lester Tony Holland of High Point; sisters, Willie Mae Mills of High Point, India Dianne Striggles of Augusta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County, employed with Wright's Furniture and coached his sons' ball teams.

She was a native of Chatham County and was employed at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the Provost's Office as an Administrative Assistant. She attended First United Methodist Church and worked with Little League and American Legion baseball.
Surviving are mother, Sarah Whitt Hobbs of Siler City; stepfather, Pemberton W. Hobbs of Siler City; stepsister, Sara Hobbs Graham of Newton Grove; stepbrother, Graham K. Hobbs of Charlotte.

CARTHAGE - Charles H. "Charlie" Fry, 75, of 308 Summer Hill Church Road, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, as a result of an automobile accident.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Summer Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Joseph Peters and Robbie Yow officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Moore County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a trustee at his church, and was a member of Joseph G. Henson Post #12 of the American Legion, the Carthage Masonic Lodge #181 A.F & A.M., and the Oasis Shrine. He was chairman of the Carthage Fire District, a farmer and owner and former operator of Hillcrest Community Store.
Surviving are wife, Virginia Tillman Fry; daughter, Jeri F. Hardy of Williamsburg, Va.; son, Chuck Fry of Southern Pines; brother, Homer H. Fry of Carthage; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren.

She was a native of Mocksville, a homemaker and a member of a garden club in Asheboro. She was a member of First Baptist Church and later Cross Road Baptist Church.

He was a native of Guilford County, the widower of Ida Chaney Bowman, a retired rural carrier with the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years and was a member of Mt. Calvary Independent Baptist Church.
