Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Baptist Church, Ramseur, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She attended Ramseur Elementary School and Randolph High School in Liberty, and was a graduate of Asheboro Commercial College. She was employed by Eveready Battery Co. Inc. for 22 years and Southeastern Randolph Middle School. She was a member of the Gospel Choir, Usher Board and a past secretary of the Sunday School at her church. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Rising Star Chapter 10, Order of Eastern Star and currently a member of Jasmine Chapter 7 of Greensboro.
Surviving are husband, Eugene Harris Sr.; mother, Etta Crump; son, Eugene Harris Jr; daughter, Connie Love; sisters, Elzie Cheek, Jennifer Graves, Margie Crump, Elizabeth Brooks; brothers, Ronald Crump, Donald Crump; four grandchildren.

LIBERTY - George Lukens, 95, formerly of 243 Pickett Circle, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Sam Shores officiating. The committal service will be at 1 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.
He was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and was a 32nd Degree Mason, Roxborough Lodge in Philadelphia, Pa.
Surviving is wife, Mildred Lippard Lukens of Greensboro.

BISCOE - James Phillips Kissell, 82, of 2397 N.C. 24-27, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at his home.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
