Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, with the Rev. John Kroh officiating. A private burial will be held in Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Davidson County, a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and had worked at Manhattan Shirt Co.
There are no immediate survivors.
The visitation will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

ROBBINS - Woodrow Wilson Maness, 88, of 216 Woodrow Road, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at High Falls United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Bobby Fletcher and the Rev. Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Moore County, retired founder of W.W. Maness and Sons Well Drilling and served on the finance committee at his church.
Surviving are wife, Rosa Mae Vest Maness of the home; daughter, Linda Vaughn of Asheboro; sons, Michael Woodrow Maness, Anthony Ray Maness, both of Robbins; brother, Edison Maness of Robbins; sister, Alice Powers of Bennett; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Guilford County, the widow of Arthur A. Jordan, a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

FRANKLINVILLE - Cecil Caryle Covington, 70, of 2865 Mamie May Road, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, with Al Goff officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors.
He was a native of Virginia, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, served in the National Guard in Fredericksburg, Va. and North Carolina, and was a former employee at Reliance Chemical in High Point. He was a shoe cobbler and shoe repairman for 45 years and was the owner/operator of Cecil's Shoe Repair in Randleman.
Surviving are wife, Joyce J. Covington of Franklinville; daughter, Carlene C. Burge of Trinity; sisters, Martha Huffman of Fredericksburg, Va., Mamie Zavila of Chicago, Ill., Edna Bond of Alabama; brother, Marvin W. "Gene" Covington of Fredericksburg, Va.; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

He was a native of Moore County, retired from Carolina Power & Light after 33 years, worked at Pinewild Country Club and was a member of the Whispering Pines Rescue Squad for 20 years.
