Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. Burial will be in High Point.
She was a native of High Point, retired from Bossong Hosiery Mill in Asheboro, had worked with Randolph Community College in food services and was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Linda W. Wiggins of Clearwater, Fla.; sister, Mary K. Hines of High Point; brothers, Lee King of Oviedo, Fla., Mack King of Lexington; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

ASHEBORO - Mary Cagle Williams, 92, of Pittsboro Christian Village, formerly of Asheboro, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, at Pittsboro Christian Village in Pittsboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, with Brother Mike Moody and Brother Ben Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
She was a native of Montgomery County, a homemaker and attended Ramseur Gospel Chapel.
Surviving are sister, Margaret Inman of Asheboro; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

SOPHIA - Barbara Mason Canoy, 60, of 4439 Beckerdite Road, died Monday, July 16, 2001, at her home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Flint Hill United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Jack Clark officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Iredell County, a 1958 graduate of Trinity High School, a former branch manager of First Union National Bank in Archdale and a member of A.B.W.A. Golden Arch Chapter. She was affiliated with Meals on Wheels and was also a member of Flint Hill United Church of Christ.
Surviving are husband, Jimmy Donald Canoy Sr. of the home; son, Jimmy Donald Canoy Jr. of Sophia; daughter, Carmen Frazier of Archdale; sisters, Ruby Shinault of Salem, Va., Carol Hudson of High Point; five grandchildren.

GREENSBORO - Blanche Caroline Hussey Rollins, 95, of 308 W. Meadowview Road, died Monday, July 16, 2001, at Carolina Commons in Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sumner Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Charles Stevens and the Rev. Rodney Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Rehobeth UMC Cemetery.
She was a native of Asheboro, the widow of Paul Wesley Rollins, a member of the Sunshine Class at her church and a homemaker.
Surviving are daughter, Margaret R. Brannon of Greensboro; sons, Richard G. Rollins of Greensboro, Lloyd Paul Rollins of Randleman, Wayne R. Rollins of Maryville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the church one hour prior to the service, other times at the home of Margaret Brannon, 6400 Mountain Laurel Drive, Greensboro.

CARTHAGE - Luke L. Marion Jr., 84, died Monday, July 16, 2001, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Carthage United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Terry Huffins officiating. Entombment will be in Cross Hill Mausoleum in Carthage.
He was a native of Surry County, a graduate of Carthage High School, attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was awarded the EAMET Campaign Medal with seven bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, Croix De Guerre with gold stars and the American Defense Service Medal. He was owner/operator of Marion Furniture Co., served as a magistrate with the N.C. Judicial System, was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Carthage, a charter member of the Sandhills Community College Board of Trustees, received a honorary degree of Associates in Humanities, was Mayor of Carthage for eight years, and was former chairman of the Industrial Committee. He had served as secretary/treasurer of the Sandhills Community Action Program, served as Cub Master in Boy Scouts, chairman of the Yadkin Trail District, received the President's Cup in 1963, was active in the acquisition and development of Camp Reaves and was a member of the American Legion Post #12 and the Sandhills Chamber of Commerce.
Surviving are wife, Gladys Thomas Marion; sons, Luke Marion III of Greensboro, Thomas Keith Marion of Fayetteville, Charles Scott Marion of Clemmons; four grandchildren.

She was a native of Oriskany, Va., the widow of Bobby B. Trexler, retired from Centel of Asheboro, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Randolph Chapter 210 and of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are daughter, Janice T. "Jan" Long of Trinity; sister, Mabel C. King of Covington, Va.; one grandson.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, other times at the home of her daughter, 3885 Village Drive, Trinity.

She was a native of Randolph County, a retired farmer, and a member of Union Grove Christian Church.

He was a native of Davidson County, attended Fair Grove High School, worked at Maurice Hosiery Mill for 20 years, owned and operated Thomas Landscaping, and had served as trustee and building committee chairman at his church.
Surviving are wife, Virginia Hughes of the home; daughter, Peggy Byerly of Thomasville; son Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.) John C. Thomas of the home, five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

He was a native of Montgomery County, a 1968 Peabody High School graduate, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era, and received a certificate in elec-tronics from Montgomery Technical Institute. He was a member and past master of Masonic Freeman Lodge #771, a member of American Legion Post #358, a member of the Peabody Community Development Club and employed with Foundry Services of Biscoe for 10 years.
Surviving are mother, Mary A. Patterson of Troy; daughters, Ann S. Whitaker, Tanishia R. McRae, both of Troy, Marie A. Collins of Evans, Ga., Tawanda P. Garrison of Concord, Niya S. Patterson of Greensboro; son, Jeramie L. Patterson of Troy; sisters, Hallie Mae Love of Baltimore, Md., Andrea P. Marshall, Loretta F. Patterson, both of Troy; brother, William Gene Patterson of Durham; nine grandchildren.
