Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Dover Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. Donald Davis and Lonnie Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Moore County and retired from Clayson Knitting Co. Inc.
Surviving are daughters, Berlene Knight of Sophia, Martha Sue Miller of Fayetteville; sister, Hazel Hare of Hampton, Va.; brother, Clarence F. Brown of Seagrove; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.

BENNETT - Atlas Barnett Chilton, 93, of GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement, formerly of 6495 Chilton Road, Ramseur, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Maple Springs United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Vonnie Vredenburg and the Rev. Frank Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Marshall, the widow of Troy Smith Chilton Sr., a graduate of Mooseheart School in Batavia, Ill., and was a homemaker.
Surviving are sons, Albert Chilton of Ramseur, John Chilton of Asheboro, Jim Chilton of Ramseur; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
The family will be at Joyce-Brady Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Sunday, other times at the home of John and Betty Chilton, 3503 N.C. 42 S., Asheboro.

ASHEBORO - Edward Wesley Hill, 82, of Asheboro, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Minnie Edith Hill, attended Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, and retired from Lowes Foods and the Randolph County Landfill. He was a member of American Legion Post 45 and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are son, Perry E. Hill of Asheboro; brother, Ray Hill of Asheboro; two granddaughters.

ABERDEEN - Walter Clay Riley, 78, formerly of U.S. 1 South, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

He was a native of Moore County, a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Southern Pines and retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Highways Division.
Surviving are sons, Larry Riley of High Point, Johnny Riley of Pinebluff; brother, Bill Riley of Arkansas; sisters, Susan Robson of Southern Pines, Daphne Must of Aberdeen; two grandchildren.

She was a native of Johnston County and retired from Black & Decker.

He was a native of Randolph County, a member of First United Methodist Church, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army where he received two Bronze service stars, and former owner and operator of Brower's TV repair.
