Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Bill Turnmire and the Rev. Gary Long officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery.
She was retired from Sox Incorporated, Mt. Gilead.
Surviving are sons, Chester Kime of Holden Beach, the Rev. David Kime of Mt. Gilead; brothers, Earl Haywood of Mt. Gilead, Elbert Haywood of Troy; sister, Emma Robinson of Mt. Gilead.

BURLINGTON - Ruby Bulla Maness, 88, of White Oak Manor, 323 Baldwin Road, formerly of 3704 S. Mebane St., died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at White Oak Manor.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Alamance Memorial Park, with the Rev. R.E.L. Moser officiating.
She was a native of Alamance County, was formerly of Asheboro, was the widow of John Alton Maness, a former textile employee and was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are sisters, Pauline B. Sharpe, Vivian B. Coble, Mattie Lou Capps, Jacksie B. Smith, all of Burlington; brothers, James L. "Jim" Bulla of Burlington, Ben F. Bulla of Graham.

She was a native of Moore County and retired as a bookkeeper for Pinehurst Hardware after 25 years.
Surviving are daughter, Tina Williams Cline of Greenville; son, Thomas H. Williams of Pinehurst; sisters, Margaret W. Matthews of Carthage, Louise Alford of Columbia, S.C.; brothers, Lee Williams, Raymond Williams, both of West End, Roy Williams of Winston-Salem; three granddaughters.

Robert Lester Brewer, 65, of 701 N.C. 42 S., Asheboro, died Thursday, April 30, 1998, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Asheboro United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Nathan King and the Rev. Lynwood Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Bennett.
He was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, the retired director of driver education for Randolph County Schools, a former state president of the N.C. Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association, former president of the South Piedmont Region, former member of the NCSTDEA board, past member and youth director of Woodmen of the World, a member of the board of directors for Eastside Fire Department and owner/operator of C/E Mustang. He also attended the Asheboro United Church of Christ.
Surviving are wide, Peggy Smith Brewer; sons, Robert L. "Bob" Brewer Jr. of Burlington and Steve Brewer of Asheboro; daughter, Sue Ellen B. Cockman of Asheboro; sisters, Shirley B. Daniels of Raleigh and Geraldine B. Routh of Bennett; five grandchildren.
