Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tommy R. Kidd Sr. and the Rev. David Reid officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Christian Church Cemetery, Asheboro.
She was a native of Asheboro, formerly employed with Stedman Corp. and retired from Randolph Hospital.
Surviving are daughters, Kathy Cooper, Patti Southard, Denise Schoenberger, all of Asheboro; son, Jerry Southard of Asheboro; sister, Gladys Henley of Asheboro; brothers, John Wilson Cagle of Yakama, Wash., M.S. Junior Cagle of Taylor, Mich., Craig Cagle of Asheboro, James Cagle of Lincoln Park, Mich., Raymond Cagle of New Ibera, La.; six grandchildren.

SEAGROVE - Eli Garner, 85, of 5540 Waddells Ferry Road, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Riverside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Baker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, a retired farmer, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and attended Riverside Baptist Church.
Surviving are sisters, Maie Ritter and Nettie Hussey, both of Robbins, Myrtie Hussey of Seagrove.

ASHEBORO - Voilla Lee Slack Cagle, 88, of 1587 Howard Auman Road Ext., Asheboro, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pisgah United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Dana Bunn, the Rev. Fran Moran and the Rev. Scott Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Glenn Cagle, retired from Bossong Hosiery Mill and a former member of the Women's Mission Society.
Surviving are daughter, Glenna Fountain of the home; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

DENTON - Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Buie, 92, of 1207 Bringle Ferry Road, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Mountain Vista Health Park, Denton.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, with the Rev. Vern Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He was a native of Davidson County, the widower of Carrie Elizabeth Morton Buie, a member of Lick Creek Baptist Church, attended First Baptist Church and worked with the HPT & D Railroad.
Surviving are sons, Jay Buie of High Point, Carl Buie of Denton; daughter, Betty B. Cook of Lexington; brother, William Buie of Southmont; sister, Julia Anne Hepler of Lexington; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

CARTHAGE - B.C. Scott, 81, of 805 Sunset Drive, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home, Fayetteville.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carthage United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Terry Huffines officiating. Burial will be in Cross Hill Cemetery.
He was a native of Rose Hill, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II where he received a Purple Heart, a retired educator and a member of American Legion Post #12 and Carthage Lodge 181 AF&AM.
Surviving are wife, Evelyn D. Scott; daughter, Judi S. Shotwell of Vienna, Va.; son, Jerry Scott of Albemarle; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Beaufort County, the widow of J. E. Wilkins, the oldest member of Central United Methodist Church and a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 216.
Surviving are sons, Bobby Wilkins of Shreveport, La., Rev. Joe Wilkins of Charlotte, Kenneth Wilkins of Denton; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
