She was a native of High Point, a graduate of Trinity High School, a graduate of College Village Beauty Academy, a volunteer at both Denton and Southmont elementary schools and a recipient of the "Volunteer of the Year" award.

SILER CITY - Margaret Gregson, 84, of 408 S. Second Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at her home.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Julia Catholic Church, where she was a member, with Father Joseph Madden officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
She was a native of Atlantic City, N.J., a member of the Mary Help of the Christians and the Women of The Moose, and a retired recreational counselor.

She was a native of Davidson County and a homemaker.

WEST END - Guy McNeill Jr., 58, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at his home.
Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at West End Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bryson Bigsby and the Rev. Robbie Gibson officiating. Burial will be in West End Cemetery.
He was a native of Montgomery County, a graduate of West End High School and a member of the N.C. 252nd Armored Division, Company C, National Guard in Southern Pines. He was retired from Diamondhead Corp. of Pinehurst.

CARTHAGE - Boyd N. Marsh, 72, of 536 Kelly Road, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was a charter member, with Pastor Eugene Ussery and the Rev. Ray Franklin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Lee County, retired from A&P Grocers where he worked as produce manager for 38 years, and had worked in produce at Piggly Wiggly in Sanford. He was a trustee, deacon, Sunday School teacher and choir director at his church. He was a singer and a former member of Red Branch Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the deacons, choir director and Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are wife, Vallie Mae Marsh; son, LaVern Marsh of Carthage; daughters, Portia M. Cummings of Vass, Vanessa Lindley of Carthage; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the church 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home.

He was a native of Moore County, retired from Klopman Mills as a truck driver after 26 years, a Mason and a member of Balfour Lodge #188 AF & AM.

A native of Moore County and a Sunday School teacher, she worked with the Moore County Schools for many years in several capacities and was a homemaker.

He was a native of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, and a retired supervisor with Stroh Brewing of Winston-Salem.

He was a native of Pulaski, Va., the widower of Charlotte Eugenia Suliot Livingston and Virginia Carper Livingston, and a purchasing agent for Deming Pump Co. He was a farmer, a member of Salem First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
