BOLIVIA-SUNSET HARBOR - Leo Park, 78, of 563 Roxboro Street S.E., died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at Hospice Care Center, Wilmington.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Randolph Memorial Park, with the Rev. Philip Pennington officiating, and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
He was a native of Lee County, a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Supply and a retired letter carrier from the Asheboro Post Office after 32 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Surviving are wife, Charlesanna Robbins Park of the home; daughter, Patricia Ann Park of Foster City, Calif.; sons, Mark Anthony Park of Asheboro and Richard David Park of Franklinville; sister, Margie Boone of Asheboro; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the home of his son, Mark Park, 745 Mayberry Lane, Asheboro.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, Albemarle.
She was a native of Asheboro and a graduate of Asheboro City Schools and Elon College. She was of the Methodist Faith and a retired secretary and purchasing agent of Sasalows Jewelry.
Surviving are husband, Mahlon Hubert Hill Sr. of the home; sons, Mahlon H. "Chip" Hill Jr. of Snellville, Ga., and Joseph Branson Hill of Amelia Island, Fla.; daughter, Rana Denese Hill of Amelia Island, Fla.; three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, with the Rev. Troy Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Long Branch, N.J., and a member of Randleman Church of God. She was retired from Randleman Church of God Day Care Center.
Surviving is husband, Alfred C. Stanley of Randleman.

He was a native of Randolph County and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

ASHEBORO - Mary Sue Peavy Sims, 89, of 711 W. Kivett St., Asheboro, died January 30, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Central United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. W. Christopher Thore officiating.
She was a native of Roanoke, Ala., served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corp. during World War II and was retired from Appalachian State University. After her retirement, she did accounting for First Line Active Wear, Wells Hosiery and Asheboro Hosiery.
Surviving are daughter, Beverly S. Morton, of the home; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Montgomery County, retired from Naomi Cotton Mill in Randleman, a member of Full Gospel Bible Church of God and the widower of Christine Atwell Richardson.

She was an organizing member of the Chatham County Fair and treasurer of the Chatham-Lee Credit Union. She taught in the Chatham County Schools system and was a community health worker with several federal and state funded health programs.
Surviving are daughters, Margaret Finney of Virginia Beach, Va., and Dorthy Simms of Rochester, N.Y.; sons, Thomas Alston Jr. of Athens, Ga., and William Alston of Monroe; sister, Allie A. Marsh of Jamestown; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
