She was a native of Montgomery County and retired from Russell Harvell Hosiery.

Warner of Concord, Ann S. Hudson of Greensboro; stepdaughter, Gwen Jaquays of Lake Odessa, Mich.; brothers, Matthew McRae of Rockingham, Murphy McRae of Virginia Beach, Va.; sister, Brownie Saunders of Troy; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Brenda Wright Stewart, 59, of 4106 Pisgah Covered Bridge Road, Asheboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at her home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Wyatt Hoogkamp officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Edward C. Stewart and a member of High Pine Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are daughters, Sandra Lambe and Sherry Cripps, both of Asheboro; sister, Betty Cagle of Asheboro; four grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - George Lewis Cole, 72, of 130 Nolen Ave., Asheboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at his home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mountain of Faith Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Thurman Williams and the Rev. Joe Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, served in the Merchant Marines and was employed with Montgomery Motors. He was a deacon, former Sunday school teacher and superintendent of Mountain Faith Christian Church, a lifetime member of the Asheboro Optimist Club and the widower of his first wife, Frances Bowman Cole.
Surviving are wife, Ann Cole of the home; daughters, Sherry Cole McPherson and Gloria Cole Greeson, both of Asheboro; sons, Gary Lewis Cole Sr. and Roger D. Cole, both of Asheboro; mother, Alese F. Cole of Asheboro; sister, Zelma Yates of Asheboro; 10 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild.

She was a native of Randolph County, a member of Old Union United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

She was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Watts School of Nursing and the widow of the Rev. Boyd C. Kistler.
Surviving are son, Ivan Kistler of Gastonia; daughters, Esther Bennett of Sophia and Mary Lou Cox of High Point; brother, the Rev. Kermit Farlow of Sophia; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

DENTON - Robert "Bob" Eugene Slack, 68, of Forest Park Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, in Montgomery County.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Dan Money and the Rev. Sandy Young officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He was a Davidson County native, a graduate of Denton High School, served in the U.S. Army, was retired from Glover Manufacturing Co. in Denton and served as a trustee of the First United Methodist Church and parsonage.
Surviving are wife, Peggy Oakley Slack of the home; daughters, Michelle Slack Tucker of Lexington; brothers, Loren Slack of Thomasville; two grandchildren.

He was a native of Moore County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, worked at Carthage Fabrics, was retired from Milliken Mills in Robbins and was the widower of Waltraut Katie Nall.

ASHEBORO - Roy Lee Culpepper, 72, of 603 Shamrock Road, Asheboro, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. John Rogers and Dr. Ron Hamilton officiating.
He was a native of Pike County, Ga., served in the U.S. Navy, and was retired from Georgia Pacific and Wilmac Container in Georgia. He was previously a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Conyers, Ga.
Surviving are wife, Ardith L. Culpepper of the home; sons, Robert L. Culpepper of Asheboro and James A. Culpepper of Palm Springs, Calif.; daughters, Cindy C. Wolfe of Greensboro and Lavonda C. He was a native of Guilford County and was retired from Marsh Cabinet in High Point.

She was a native of Moore County, the widow of Grady Mashburn and was formerly part owner of HighFalls Furniture and Appliance Store.
