He was a native of Randolph County and was retired from the Town of Ramseur.
Surviving is sister, Clara Spencer of Asheboro.

He was a native of Randolph County, employed as a barber for 44 years, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Greensboro.
Surviving are wife, Opal Keaton Scott of the home; son, Michael L. Scott of Greensboro; two grandchildren.

He was a native of Newberry, S.C., attended Central Cathedral Church of God in Randleman, was a retired store detective from Belks, Greensboro, a ham radio operator and a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro.
She was a native of Greensboro, a graduate of Greensboro High School and Woman's College (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro), a former teacher in High Point, Greensboro and Asheboro, corporate secretary of Durham Printing Co. Inc. and retired as chairman of the business department of Randolph Community College, where she taught for 25 years. She was a member of the Administrative Board, Circle #5 and a former UMYF counselor at her church, past president of the Asheboro Garden Club Council, former board member of the Asheboro Memorial Foundation and the American Red Cross, and a Paul Harris Fellow of the Asheboro Rotary Club.
Surviving are husband, Don W. Durham of the home; sons, Carey Martin Durham of Troy and D. Richard Durham of Asheboro; sister, Lois Glass Morgan of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
