STOKESDALE - Alice Lucille Cameron Parker, 80, of 7700 N.C. 158, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Countryside Manor, Stokesdale.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service, Greensboro, with the Rev. Jack Kirk and the Rev. Ben Curry officiating. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park

She was a native of Guilford County, a homemaker and a salesperson for Laurie's at Friendly in Greensboro.

Surviving are husband, Robert J. Parker of Greensboro; daughters, Lindell Upp Lehrer of Greensboro, Charlene Upp Maresea of Stoneville; stepdaughters, Judy Parsons of Flagler Beach, Fla., Martha Jean Wheeler of Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Faye Powers of Greensboro, Beaulah Hathaway of Titusville, Fla.; brother, Mack Cameron of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday, other times at the home of Lindell Lehrer.

GOLDSTON - Aaron Mikel Paschal, 14, of 381 Wilson Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.

Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Hope Cemetery, Bonlee, with the Rev. Darrell Williams officiating.

He was a native of Lee County, an eighth grade student at Bennett School where he was in the Junior Beta Club, and a member of the Quiz Bowl Team.

Surviving are father, Anthony "Tony" Paschal of Goldston; mother, Kimberly Phillips Paschal of Goldston; grandparents, Bill Phillips and Betty Phillips, both of Siler City.

The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to Bennett School 8th Grade Class Trip, c/o, Emily Collins, 61 Randolph St., Bennett, N.C. 27208.

Gurnie A. Yarboro Jr.
BISCOE - Gurnie Alton Yarboro Jr., 68, of 208 Brooks St., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Star, with the Rev. Douglas Beadle officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Cemetery.

He was a native of Alamance County and a retired fixer at Springs Industries, Inc.

Surviving are wife, Janie Maness Yarboro of the home; son, Frankie Yarboro of Robbins; daughter, Vickie Houser of Star; sisters, Barbara Chavis of Laurinburg, Kathleen Ellis of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

Ted H. Cox
DALLAS, TEXAS - Ted H. Cox, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002 in Dallas, Texas.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Stan Copeland, Dr. Dudley Dancer and Dr. Don Benton officiating.

He was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Coleridge High School, a World War II veteran and a 1953 graduate of Southern Methodist University. He worked at the Wesco Company, was a former president of Hayden Company in Houston, Texas, and retired from Lone Star Industries as President. He served on the board of directors for Cullen Frost Bank, Dallas; Cullen Bank, Houston, and on boards for the SMU Alumni Association and the SMU Mustang Club, where he was a past president. He was on the administrative board of his church and a member of the Faith Fellowship Sunday School class, served on the Preston Trails Golf Club board as secretary and was past president of the Texas Aggregate and Concrete Association.

Surviving are wife, Evelyn Cox; son, Dan Cox; three granddaughters.

Arthur M. Coughenour
ASHEBORO - Arthur McElroy Coughenour, 85, of 2850 Orlendo Drive, Asheboro, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at his home.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

He was a native of Westmoreland County, Pa., served in the U.S. Army, was a retired auto assembly worker and a member of the U.A.W.

Surviving are wife, Vergia F. Coughenour of Asheboro; daughter, Frances MacLeod of Kingwood, Texas; sons, Arthur E. Coughenour of Atwater, Ohio and Michael W. Coughenour of Barberton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, is in charge of arrangements.

ASHEBORO - Kenneth Lee Hill, 61, of 230 E. Presnell St., Asheboro, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County, had worked for Cranford Iron & Metal and had his own salvage business.

Surviving are wife, Marie Hill of Asheboro; father and stepmother, Woodrow and Maudie Lee Hill of Ramseur; sisters, Dorothy Brim of Asheboro, Novie Bray of Randleman, Doris York of Liberty and Jane Owens of Farmer; brothers, Cecil Hill of Greensboro, Jack Gray of Randleman, Jimmy Hill of Asheboro and David Hill of Farmer.

The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Friday.

RAMSEUR - Clatie Ellen Beck, 84, of 701 S. Elm St., High Point, formerly of Ramseur, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, with the Rev. Mack Beck officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery.

She was a native of Randolph County, a retired caregiver and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Surviving are sister, Mildred O. Beck of Seagrove; brothers, the Rev. James W. Beck of Trinity, Charles Carlton Beck of Greensboro, Curtis D. Beck of Siler City.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of her sister, Mildred O. Beck, 3575 Trinity Church Road, Seagrove.

Vallie T. Routh
RANDLEMAN - Vallie Thomas Routh, 88, of 3077 WOW Road, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at her home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, with the Rev. Jeff Joyce officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

She was a native of Randolph County, retired from Klopman Mill, the widow of J.P. Routh and a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church in Franklinville.

Surviving are daughters, Willa Dean Campbell, Barbara Trogdon and Phyllis York, all of Franklinville; son, Bobby Routh of Franklinville; sister, Ola Hinshaw of Liberty; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Benjamin F. Kearns
SEAGROVE - Benjamin Franklin Kearns, 68, of 240 Adams Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, with the Rev. Arnold Comer officiating. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery, Robbins.

He was a native of Moore County, a U.S. Army veteran and was employed as a sales supervisor for Thomas Brothers Country Ham for 29 years.

Surviving are wife, Charlene Owen Kearns of the home; daughters, Tammy Sue May of Seagrove, Debbie Lynn Rich of Lock Port, N.Y.; son, Charles Franklin Kearns of Robbins; brothers, John Recil Kearns and Wycliff Kearns, both of Burlington; sisters, Denzil Stutts of Seagrove, Hannah Kidd of Bennett; 8 grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the residence.

Betty Lou G. Padilla
DENTON - Betty Lou Gallimore Padilla, 67, of Dallas Ave., High Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Tom's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Dickens officiating.

She was a native of Guilford County and had worked as a nursing assistant.

Surviving are sons, Tony Bullard of Columbus, Miss., and Donald Lee Bullard of the home; daughters, Robbie Shepherd of Reform, Ala.; sister, Doris Henderson of Thomasville; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

There will be no public visitation. The family will be at the home of the sister, Doris Henderson, at 1459 Tower Road, Thomasville.

Mark E. Henderson
SOPHIA - Mark Eugene Henderson, 33, a resident of 6875 Flint Hill Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Green and Sons, Thomasville, with the Rev. Keith Peters officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point.

He was a native of Forsyth County, a member of Garrell Street Baptist Church in Archdale, had attended the Trinity schools and was self-employed with Henderson Trucking.

Surviving are daughters, Tiffany LeeAnn Henderson, Kelly Denise Henderson and Amanda Ellen Henderson, all of Sophia; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph S. Henderson of the home; sisters, Denise Flemming of Trinity and Lisa Kersey of High Point; brother, David T. Henderson of Archdale; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chaney of High Point.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Saturday, other times at the residence.

Hampton R. Poole
BURLINGTON - Hampton Rochelle Poole, 77, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Alamance Regional Hospital in Burlington.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Franklinville with the Rev. Steve Cox officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County; retired from Holt Hosiery Co., where he worked as Comptroller; and was a Certified Public Accountant and member of the N.C. Certified Public Accountants. He held the positions of president and treasurer of the Cherokee Boy Scout Council and was a member of First Baptist Church of Graham and a Civitan. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are wife, Ethel Craven Poole of Burlington; sons, Hampton R. Poole Jr. of Wilson; daughters, Debra Parker of Burlington and Rebecca Radvak of Smyrna, Ga.; five grandchildren.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of his daughter, Debra Parker, 1719 Erwin Ave., Burlington.

Patricia K. Husband
ASHEVILLE - Patricia Kathleen Husband, 75, of Asheville, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at her home.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Franklinville Methodist Cemetery, Franklin-ville.

She was a native of Franklinville and a retired R.N. at Oteen Veteran's Hospital in Asheville.

Surviving are brothers, Donald E. Husband of Siler City and Charles W. Husband of Asheboro.

ASHEBORO - Gene C. Chandler, 73, of 2634 Sparrow Trail, Asheboro, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Roy Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens.

He was a native of Binghamton, N.Y., a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a member of East Side Baptist Church, Asheboro, and retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation

Surviving are wife, Ruby Allred Chandler; sons, Daniel Heath of Randleman, Bernard Heath of Harford, N.Y., Mark Chandler of Morenci, Ariz., Darryn Chandler of Windsor, Calif.; daughters, Cynthia Siefken of Ellsworth, Maine, Cheryl "Cherie" Jones and Sherry Murray, both of High Point, Brenda Chacon of Morenci, Ariz., Kathy Chandler of Duncan, Ariz.; stepsons, Monty Ray Dunn, Lonnie James Dunn, Tony Allen Dunn, all of Asheboro; brother, Herbert Heath of Leesburg, Fla.; sisters, Geraldine Johnson, Martha Conover, Lois Martin, all of Chenango Forks, N.Y., Marjorie Crego of Chesterton, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Don Ellis and the Rev. Mike Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

She was a native of Seagrove, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville and a retiree from Carolina Garment Plant, Thomasville.

Surviving are husband, Woodrow L. Caudill; daughter, Bonnie B. Atwood of High Point; son, David R. Burrow of Thomasville; niece, Peggy Jordan of Seagrove, with whom Mrs. Caudill had lived; stepson, John Lee Caudill of Robbins; stepdaughter, Rose Ann Seawell of Asheboro; brothers, Grady Reeder of Seagrove, William D. Reeder Jr. of Stanley; sisters, Elizabeth R. Green and Faire Mae Brown, both of Seagrove, Lillie R. Baldwin of Asheboro; three grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

RANDLEMAN - Earl Lee Willis, 93, of Brookstone Haven Residential Care, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.

Graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Caraway Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Honeycutt officiating.

He was a native of Flag Pond, Tenn., the widower of Pearl R. Willis, a retired construction worker and a member of Caraway Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Mona Lee Powell of Valdese, Melba Ann Sisk of Morganton, Mary Ellen Willis of Asheboro; sons, Carroll Mark Willis of Rupert, Idaho, Harold James "Jim" Willis of Randleman, Darrell Arnold Willis of Dallas, Texas; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday.
