Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Ramseur Wesleyan Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tommy Smith and the Rev. Roland Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Wade Marley and a retiree from Burlington Industries.
Surviving are stepdaughter, Melba Marley Brown of Mebane; brother, Taft Kivett of Ramseur; several stepchildren.

GREENSBORO - Douglas E. Thompson, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at his home.
Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Guilford Memorial Park.
He was a native of Guilford County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a charter member of Masons Lodge 76.
Surviving is brother, John Clark Thompson of Greensboro.

DENTON - Richard Joe Russell, 58, of King Mountain Road, Asheboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harold Hammond and the Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County and self-employed in auto sales.
Surviving is mother, Mary Elizabeth Russell Johnson of Denton.

TROY - Diza Greene Hartsell, 89, formerly of 222 N. Russell St., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Raleigh Community Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Mike Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery.
She was a native of Montgomery County, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are daughter, Lequita J. Cobb of Raleigh; brothers, Barney C. Greene of Asheboro, Harvey M. Greene of Charlotte; two grandchildren; one great-grandson.
The family will be at the funeral home 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.

HAMLET - Roy Moore, 90, of 819 Austin St., formerly of Asheboro, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Fellowship United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Donald Warren officiating. Burial will be in Richmond Memorial Park.
He was a native of Iredell County and a machinist for Rampon Products.
Surviving are wife, Ruth Smith Moore of the home; son, Terry G. Moore of Hamlet; brother, Edgar Moore of Asheboro; sister, Mae M. Greene of Jackson Springs; three grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Ruth Evans Jones, 77, of 2883 Old Stagecoach Road, Asheboro, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.

She was a native of Hertford County, the widow of R. Stanley Jones, a retired Registered Nurse with Randolph Hospital and a member of Quaker Heights Friends Meeting.
Surviving are son, Robert S. Jones Jr. of Asheboro; daughter, Rose Marie Jones of Leesville, La.; sisters, Thelma Nowell of Suffolk, Va., Mary Ellen Goodwin of Rich Square; brother, Leslie Evans of Ahoskie; three grandchildren; two great- grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Sunday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Steve Ervin officiating.
Surviving in addition to the parents are grandparents, Thomas Gregory and Julia Franzen, both of the home, Tim and Penny Dumont of Hawaii, and Muzaffar and Sabrina Malik and Dave and Jeanette Franzen, all of Oregon.

He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Ruby Kearns Ingram, a member of College Place United Methodist Church in Greensboro and retired owner of Southern Roofing and Asphalt Company. He attended Denton School, graduated from Churchland High School and attended Duke University.

Surviving is daughter, Emma Albright of Thomasville; son, Harold Dean Luther of Thomasville; sisters, Nova Bryant of Thomasville, Mattie Davis of Troy; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
