BISCOE - Mary Leona Robinson Tedder, 87, of Biscoe, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hamer Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alex Willoughby and Dr. Dan Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Troy, a graduate of Troy High School with honors, a homemaker, a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Troy and the widow of Thaddeus R. Redder. She helped establish and operate several businesses in the county.
Surviving are sons, Roland F. "Bill" Tedder of Hamstead, Thaddeus Robinson "Robbie" Tedder of Mt. Gilead; daughters, Janie T. Meacham of Charlotte, Becky T. Wallace of Titusville, Fla., Susan T. He was a native of Chatham County, a graduate of barber school in Atlanta, Ga., a retired worker from City Barber Shop and a former employee of 20 years at Hickory Mountain Farms. He was the widower of Myrtle Johnson Lane.

He was a native of Chatham County, the widower of Mary Lee Phillips Foust, a member of Mt. Vernon Springs Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the VFW and Mt. Vernon Masonic Lodge #143 AF & AM, where he had served as Past Master. He was a member of the Carolina Wagon Train Association and retired from Siler City Mills Inc.
Surviving are daughters, Gail F. Johnson of Bear Creek, Pam F. Webster of Bonlee; sister, Sara F. Smith of Siler City; brothers, Ben S. Foust and Gene H. Foust, both of Siler City, Jack H. Foust of Mt. Vernon Springs; four grandchildren.
