Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Browers Chapel United Methodist Church, were he was a member, with the Rev. Jeff Sypole officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Murphy, was retired from Henredon Furniture in High Point and served in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are wife, Vickie Teague of the home; sons, Cody Teague of the home, Ronald Teague of the home, Tim Teague of Asheboro, Kenneth Wright of Ramseur, Olen "Junior" Teague Jr. and Michael Goad, both of Mayodan; daughter, Cindy Cooke of Asheboro; sisters, Thelma Cole of Seagrove and Marie Brault of Asheboro; brothers, Bill Teague and Danny Teague, both of Asheboro; seven grandchildren.
The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Saturday, other times at the residence.

RANDLEMAN - Mary Garner Reitzel, 98, formerly of 611 Worthville St., Randleman, died, Friday, March 29, 2002, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, with the Rev. Alvin C. Newcomb officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Moore County and the widow of Obed Reitzel.
Surviving are son, Julian Reitzel of Archdale; daughters, Winnie Allred and Mary Fogleman, both of Randleman, Lily Reitzel Cole of Franklinville; sister, Ella Garner of Robbins; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Sunday, other times at the home of the daughter, Winnie Allred, 141 Spencer St., Randleman.
Elsie M. Parker
OCALA, Fla. - Elsie M. Parker, 86, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at New Horizon Rehab Center in Florida.
She was a native of Asheboro, the owner and operator of Children's Clothing Outlets, a member of the Women in Business Association and was the widow of Henry Parker.
Surviving are son, Philip J. Parker of Ocklawaha, Fla.; daughters, Pamela J. Croy of Ocala, Fla., and Penelope J. Johnson of Fairfax, Va.; brother, David Cox of Asheboro; sisters, Sylvia Moffett and Pansy Garrison, both of Asheboro, and Exie Beck of Norfolk, Va.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

FRANKLINVILLE - Blanche Smith Williamson, 90, of Cross Road Retirement Community, Asheboro, formerly of Franklinville, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at the Asheboro Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, with the Rev. Tom Hill officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was native of Chatham County, retired from Randolph Mills and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Joe Williamson of Asheboro and Eugene Williamson of Sun City, Ariz.; daughter, Marie W. Slaughter of Greensboro; brothers, Ralph Smith of Bear Creek and Joe Smith of Greensboro; sister, Lois Branson of Siler City; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

TRINITY- Walter Roscoe Hill, 94, of 4615 Hopewell Church Road, died Thursday, March 29, 2002, at Asheboro Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with the Rev. Randal A. Quake officiating. Burial will be in United Church of Christ cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, a farmer, a member of Providence Wesleyan Church and attended Hopewell United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Mac Robbins Hill.
Surviving are his second wife; Lois Crotts Hill; children, Ina Lee Kersey, Dink Hill and Nancy Truesdale, all of Sophia, Frances Coltrane of Huntsville, Ala., Betty Bryant of Lynwood, Larry Hill of Lillington; stepchildren, Larry and Bill Hedrick of Trinity and JoAnn Dalton of Thomasville; sister, Maude Hoffman of California; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Moore County, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from Springs Industries in Biscoe.

GREENSBORO - Thelma McGill Hughes, 84, of 925 New Garden Road, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Friends Home at Guilford in Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Asheboro Friends Meeting, where she was a member, with the Rev. Robert L. Kidd and the Rev. Lesley Winslow officiating. Burial will be in Springfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, High Point.
She was a native of Montgomery County, a volunteer for the Salt Box of Asheboro and the widow of Douglas R. Purcelle and William H. Hughes.
Surviving are daughter, Peggy P. Trodgon of Randleman; son, David Carl Purcelle of Hickory; stepdaughters, Jane H. Wright of Trinity, Billie H. Parks of Mebane and Sue H. Memory of Kernersville; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County and a farmer.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. A.J. Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
He was a native of Stokes County, retired from Western Electric and a charter member of Dogwood Acres Presbyterian Church, where he had served as an elder and trustee. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 45 and Randolph County Honor Guard, a Social Services volunteer, and a member of the Good Time Band and Old Fogy Band.
Surviving are wife, Nellie Martin Bennett of the home; sons, Cleo Delanous Bennett and Jeffrey L. Bennett, both of Asheboro, Dickie Ray Bennett of Randleman, Martin Anthony Bennett of the home; brothers, Cicero Bennett of Seagrove, Kelly Bennett of Asheboro; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
