Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Mark C. Beane, the Rev. J. Arnold Luther and Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Sanford, retired overseer for Cetwick Manufacturing after 38 years and a member of Central Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are wife, Marie H. Williams of the home; daughters, Peggy Hoogkamp of Johnson City, Tenn., Bonnie O. Adams of High Point; son, Warner B. Williams of Asheboro; stepdaughters, Cynthia Marie Pike of Mississippi, Joy Lynn Boykin of Dunn; sisters, Jessie Boone, Madge Caviness, both of Asheboro; stepsisters, Lois Kinney, Juanita Hall, Louise Parks, all of Asheboro; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Marvin Williams, 74, of 315 Old Liberty Road, Asheboro, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Larry Moore and Malcolm Laughlin officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He was a native of Moore County, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill and attended Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church.
Surviving is wife, Loretta Bonkemeyer Williams of Asheboro.

DENTON - Allene Reid Chappell, 89, of Old U.S. 64 East, Lexington, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Thomasville Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, with the Rev. Randy Clendenin officiating. Burial will be in Lineberry United Methodist Church cemetery.
She was a native of Davidson County, the widow of Alvin R. Chappell, a retired employee of Singer Hosiery Mills and a member of Lineberry United Methodist Church.
Surviving are son, Randall Chappell of Asheboro; daughter, Linda Garner of Denton; brother, Owen Reid of Denton; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

She was a native of Stanly County, a retired self-employed beautician with Sue Ann's Beauty Salon, Troy, and a graduate of West Montgomery High School and Butler's Beauty College.
Surviving are husband, Baxter Gentry Kirk Jr. of the home; sons, Christopher Eugene Morris, Jody Lee Morris, both of Albemarle; daughter, Doris Lynn Holmes of Salisbury; sister, Catherine Hinson of Troy; three stepgrandchildren.

She was a native of Oxford, the widow of Chester R. Hall, (they were named 1987 Senior Citizen Couple of the Year by the Seagrove Jaycees), attended Oxford schools, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Seagrove.
Surviving are daughters, Janet Moody of Wake Forest, Debi Johnson of Greensboro; sisters, Mabel Baines of Henderson, Sarah Cutts of Creedmore; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren.

He was a native of Surry County and retired from Burlington Industries, Ramseur Plant.

MT. GILEAD - David Watkins McKinnon, 72, of 1880 N.C. 109 South, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.

He was a native of Montgomery County, a former owner/operator of McKinnon Auto Parts and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was a native of Seagrove, a graduate of Elise High School and Pfeiffer University and a political science teacher. He worked at Jugtown and Ben Owen Pottery and served on the Moore County Board of Education. He was a former member of the Asheboro Jaycees, a member of the American Angus Association, the N.C. Gentleman's Association, the American Kennel Club and Smyrna United Methodist Church.
Surviving are wife, Shirley B. Owen of the home; son, Benjamin W. Owen III of Seagrove; sister, Jane O. Barbot of Raleigh; one grandchild.

She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of John Fitzhugh Tucker and a retired worker from Amos Hosiery Mill and the Remnant Shop. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church where she served as president and teacher of the John Wesley Sunday School Class and president of the Women's Circle.
Surviving are daughter, Johnnie Cox of Archdale; sister, Glennie Graves of Asheboro; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

Surviving are daughters, Davina Gordon of Thomasville, Jan Miller of Lexington; sons, John Armstrong of High Point, Darrin Miller and Dennis B. Miller of Thomasville; eight grandchildren.
