Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pelier Presbyterian Church, Rowland, with the Rev. Samuel L. McCormick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are husband, Reese Williams of the home; daughters, Nancy Sutton of Jersey City, N.J., Linda Williams of Bronx, N.Y.; sisters, Rosetta Simmons of Fayetteville, Ina Mae McCormick of Rowland, Anna L. McCormick of Asheboro; brothers, the Rev. Samuel L. McCormick, James M. McCormick, John D. McCormick, all of High Point, Charles McCormick of Rowland.

BELOIT, Wis. - Eleanor S. Trexler, 90, formerly of Asheboro, died Monday, May 13, 2002, in St. John's Episcopal Home, 1840 N. Prospect Ave., Milwaukee, Wis.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
She was a native of Freeport, Ill., the widow of Norman Brown Trexler, a member of First Congregational Church, Beloit, Wis. and NSDAR, where she held local and state offices, and a violinist in the Beloit Symphony Orchestra.
Surviving are sisters, Clara Raymer and Katherine Mac Wain, both of Beloit, Wis.

He was a native of Guilford County and an employee of Steve Henley Surveying for seven years.

ASHEBORO - Pauline Williams Brown, 91, of 2850 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with Dr. John Rogers and the Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will be in Brower's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Clifford E. Brown, a retired worker from Asheboro City Schools and a member of First Baptist Church, Asheboro.
Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Freeman of Virginia Beach, Va., Hilda B. York of Dallas, Texas, Jane B. Lewis of the home; brother, J.D. Williams of Seagrove; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

SEAGROVE - Karren Joyce Chriscoe, 32, of 4262 Fork Creek Mill Road, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Wesleyan Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Larry Johnson and the Rev. Keith Carroll officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, an employee of Chriscoe Farms, where she worked in farm management, and a homemaker. A 1989 graduate of Trinity High School, she taught sign language at her church.
Surviving are husband, Ched Chriscoe of the home; son, Christopher Chriscoe of the home; daughter, Holly Ann Chriscoe of the home; father, John Franklin Joyce of Thomasville; sisters, Tammy Joyce of Thomasville, Robin Johnson of Trinity; grandmother, LouVerta Joyce of Thomasville; father-in-law, Roy Chriscoe of the home.

She was a native of Chatham County and a former employee of Bill's Restaurant.

He was a native of Pond Gap, W.Va., a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired worker from General Motors Co.

LANCASTER, Pa. - J. Albert Lavery, 89, of 458 Greenland Drive, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Lancaster General Hospital.
Funeral service was held 11 a.m. June 10 at New Life Assembly of God, with the Rev. Stan Williams officiating. Burial was in Angel Hill Cemetery, Havre de Grace, Md.
He was a native of Bozman, Md., the widower of Nellie V. Little Lavery and a retired machine operator at Telemechanique Inc.
Surviving are sons, Chris J. Lavery of Lancaster, Pa., the Rev. David H. Lavery of Walkerton, Va.; daughter, Dolly Weeks of Asheboro; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

LIBERTY - Myrtle Marie Humble Smith, 77, formerly of 6963 Bowman Dairy Road, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Guilford Health Care Center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. Charles Adams and the Rev. Lee Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Gilmore Memorial Park.
She was a native of Liberty, the widow of Clarence G. Smith and a former member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. She was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and the Glory Tone Trio, and a past member of the Parsonage Committee and the Ferguson Circle at Mt. Pleasant UMC.
Surviving are daughter, Brenda S. Cook of Greensboro; son, Kenneth G. Smith of Graham; sisters, Lillian Holt of Graham, Clairl York of Liberty; brothers, Vestal Humble of Pleasant Garden, Clifton Humble of Kimesville; four grandchildren.

She was a native of Gretna, Va., and a member of Grace Baptist Temple.

He was a native of Rowan County, a graduate of N.C. A&T State University and of Maharry Medical College and a practicing physician with the State of North Carolina Department of Correction's Healthcare Unit.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, Thomasville, with the Rev. Ben Bishop and the Rev. Bob Disher officiating. Burial will be in Why Not Cemetery in Randolph County.
She was a native of Marietta, Ga., the widow of Clyde Edward Richardson, a graduate of Albemarle High School, a retired worker from Thomasville Furniture Industries, Plant D, after 31 years and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomasville.
Surviving are son, Clyde Edward "Ed" Richardson Jr. of Burlington; sister, Hazel Morgan of Asheboro; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, the widower of Lucile Smith Loflin and a commander of Chapter 85 of the Disabled American Veterans in Belleview, Fla.

Cobb of Lake Wylie, S.C., and Zagreb, Croatia; sisters, Kate Moore, Hazel Phillips and Lois Shoffner, all of Asheboro, Juanita Winslow of Denton; brothers, Vinson Loflin of Trinity, Troy Loflin of Asheboro; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
