She was a native of Davidson County.

She was a native of Guilford County, the widow of Ben T. Clapp and Robert L. Wall, a member of Julian United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Blue Bell.

She was a native of Moore County, the widow of Marvin Welch and was retired from Perdue Co.

She was a member of Thomasville Missionary Baptist Church and attended Bethany Baptist Church in Brooklyn, N.Y.

He was a native of McKees-port, Pa., a retired heating/air conditioning technician/installer with Inman Co. in Shallotte, a member of the Shallotte Masonic Lodge #727 AF and AM and the Brunswick Chapter Eastern Star #341.
Surviving are wife, Margaret Stocks; sons, Donald Stocks, Daniel Stocks, Howard Stocks, all of Ocean Isle Beach, Jimmy Hanes of Hanahan, S.C.; daughters, Linda Lynch of Asheboro, Dale Pappas of Alpharetta, Ga., Libby Leggett of Snellville, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Aberdeen, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a graduate of Elise High School, Robbins, attended Appalachian State University and a retired driver for Milliken Co.
Surviving are sons, Jack D. Brown Jr., Clifford "Chipper" Brown, both of Wilmington, Victor Brown of Aberdeen; daughter, Pam Brown of Carthage; sisters, Ossie B. Freeman of Robbins, Lucile B. Bridgeman of Laurinburg; brother, W.C. Brown of Leesburg, Fla.; one grandson.
