Funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gene Booker and the Rev. Roger Riffle officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, a managing partner of Carolina Swine Pork Producers, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member and past commander of American Legion Post 81, a member of the 40 and 8 Voiture 1172 and he attended First Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, Bernice Sizemore Bridges of the home; son, W.G. "Dub" Bridges of Greensboro; one granddaughter.

She was a native of Vance County, was formerly of Liberty and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are daughters, Phyllis Lowe of Level Cross, Jo Ann Foster of Asheboro, Kay Dziabas of Climax; son, Larry C. Cox of Climax; sisters, Lena M. Dixon, Ruth M. Ham, Ruby M. Hartsell, all of Greensboro; brother, Marty Martin of Kings Mountain; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

LIBERTY - Ella Hunt Nelson, 90, of 112 E. High Ave., died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at her home.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sophia, with the Rev. William Bigham officiating.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of George D. Nelson, a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are daughter, Helen N. Crutchfield of Liberty; sisters, Leona Stockwell, Tula Underwood, both of Randleman; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

TRINITY - Nick Manrandas Gannaway, 49, of Gray Alford Road, formerly of Darr Road, died Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem.

He was a native of High Point, of the Methodist faith and was a former employee of Colonial International Trucks, Inc.

SILER CITY - Edward Andrae Palmer, 19, died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at Chatham Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sanctuary of Deliverance Church, Greensboro, where he was a member. Burial will be in Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
Surviving are parents, Edward Lee and Vonnell Palmer of the home; brothers, Arthur Lee Palmer, Chester Stanley Palmer, both of Siler City, Anthony Jerome Palmer of the home; sisters, Angela Snead, Kim Palmer, both of Siler City; grandparents, Saul Williams of Greensboro, Bishop and Mrs. O.M. She was a 1934 graduate of Appalachian State University, a North Carolina elementary school teacher and was a retired Federal Finance Officer, Williamsburg, Va.
Surviving are son, Larry Thomas of Griffin, Ga.; daughter, Janet Shipp of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

NEWTON - Rev. Dillard William Martin Stanley, 74, of 2024 N. Shipp Ave., died Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bible Truth Church, Ramseur, with the Rev. L.N. Stanley Jr., the Rev. Jason Watkins and the Rev. Glenn Miller officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Surry County, employed as a carpenter and was an evangelist.
Surviving are wife, Ila Mae Cain Stanley of the home; daughters, Linda Tester of Newton, Patsy Sigmon of Hickory; brothers, Elmer Stanley of Liberty, Robie Stanley of Greensboro, Paul Ray Stanley of Asheboro, L.N. Stanley Jr. of Ramseur; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Laurinburg, the widow of both Harold Samuel Fleck and Preston Leroy Williamson, was a graduate of Gibson High School, East Carolina University and of City Memorial Hospital, Winston-Salem, with a degree in registered nursing and was a member of Gibson United Methodist Church.

He was a native of Iredell County, a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam with 17 years of service, a member of Young Memorial Baptist Church and the D.A.V. and was employed as a truck drive for West Brothers Trucking Co. of Charlotte.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christiana Lutheran Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Carl M. Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Rowan County, a graduate of Rockwell High School, retired after 20 years with Rickman Manufacturing Company in Salisbury, a former employee of Carolina Maid and Gerber, and the widow of Clifford Bernard Holshouser Sr.
Surviving are sons, Clifford Bernard Holshouser Jr. of Salisbury, Michael "Mickey" William Holshouser of Huntersville and Donald Gene Holshouser and Larry Wayne Holshouser, both of Rockwell; daughters, Joyce Foster and Judy Livengood, both of Salisbury, Sandra Taylor of Marietta, Ohio, and Peggy Owen of Asheboro; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
