Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Meroney United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Warren Owens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Chatham County, the widow of Dewey C. Hefner Sr., a Young Adult Sunday School teacher and pianist for the choir at her church.
Surviving are daughters, Carol Sue Cooper of Pittsboro, Judy H. House of Raleigh; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

MT. GILEAD - Bernice Livengood Roberts, 78, of 651 Hydro Road, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Autumn Care of Biscoe.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Stoney Fork Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Michael Madaris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of Thomas Delmar Roberts and retired from United Mills.
Surviving are daughter, Pricilla R. Ussery of Mt. Gilead; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

She was a native of Richmond County, the widow of Raymond Love, a charter member of Troy Pentecostal Holiness Church and a homemaker.

Love of Ramseur, Henry Love of Troy; sisters, Willa Gibson, Lillie Yates, both of Hamlet, Edna Allen of Charlotte; brother, Henry Gibson of Hamlet; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Brooke County, W.Va., retired from Allied Chemical Co. and a member of the Teamsters Union.

She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Newton Hussey, retired from Robbins Mill and a member of the Ladies Sunday School class at her church.

He was a native of Winnsboro, S.C., a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam and Korean wars and had worked in the hardware department of Lowe's Hardware of Greensboro.
