GREENSBORO - Clarence "C.J." Jernigan Jr., 76, of 4909 Randleman Road, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Burnett's Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Wayne County, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, retired from the City of Greensboro, and owned and operated Jernigan Farm Equipment.
Surviving are wife, Ruby Hyatt Jernigan; son, Clarence Ray "Bucky" Jernigan of Randleman; daughters, Andreal Kay Duncan of High Point, Ruth Ann Atkins of Level Cross; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, 7-9 p.m. Friday.

BEAR CREEK - Doris McLeod Tillman, 71, of 1300 Bonlee School Road, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Chatham Hospital, Siler City.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bonlee Baptist Church, Bonlee, with the Rev. Darrell Williams and the Rev. Gyles Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Bonlee.
She was a native of Randolph County, a homemaker and attended Red Hill Missionary Church.
Surviving are husband, Billie Tillman of Bear Creek; daughters, Bobbie Jean T. Ezzell and Sherrie T. Oldham, both of Bear Creek, Bebe Tillman of Siler City, Verna T. Nobles of Bonlee; sisters, Barbara Phillips of Bear Creek, Peggy Chriscoe and Thelma Taylor, both of Burlington; six grandchildren.

GULF - Margaret Wilson Murchison, 81, of 745 Murchison Road, Goldston, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bethany Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Wayne Rigney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Wake County, the widow of Gus P. Murchison Jr., a retired postal clerk and a homemaker.
Surviving are son, Robert Palmer Murchison of Gulf; daughter, Alma Blanche "Susie" Gaines of Raleigh; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

CARTHAGE - Winfred L. Ingold Jr., 76, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was a native of Alexander County, a U.S. Air Force veteran and a 1950 graduate of N.C. State University. He was a retired agriculture teacher at Carthage School and Union Pines High School, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Carthage, American Legion Post # 12, and a past member of the Fire District Board and the Carthage Jaycees.
Surviving are wife, Ruby H. Ingold; daughter, Donna Rhyne of Greenville, S.C.; sons, Roger Ingold, Steve Ingold, Tracy Ingold, all of Carthage; sister, Ophelia Zachary of Taylorsville; one grandson.

She was a native of Randolph County, a homemaker, a retired cafeteria manager of Tabernacle Elementary School and a Sunday School teacher and treasurer for her church.

She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of William Maynor and a nurse assistant at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital for 35 years.
Surviving are daughters, Amanda Dunn of Candor, Frances Tilley of Troy, Carol Mabe of Star, Susan Maness of Robbins; son, Danny Maynor of the home; brothers, Harold Sasser, Eugene Sasser, both of Troy, Billy Gene Sasser of Anchorage, Alaska; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
